Found this site that is a computer based police/fire scanner in 50 states including some other countries. You can check out what is going on in your town or nationally. Hear it live as it happens,, you can almost taste the excitement!!! I like the "Alert" section as it gives you a description as to what is happening.

Sometimes I will just sit back and turn it on and listen while I am putzen around on the net.

I have the Ipad app for this, 5-0 scanner! It's cool I like listening to the radio feeds here (my wife thinks im a creeper). Can't wait for the holidays! Always exciting.

No problem,,,, just a little free entertainment when shit is going down! Chicago is rockin right now,,,, always some crazy shit there goin on..... Be sure to check the "Feed Alerts" frequently as they are major incidents going on.

not sure but one of the guys sais there was one mobile app,,,,, I will have to look around....... Right now I am just trying to figure out how to move out of Mass since I can't order my snus here aymore....

Scanner radios bring back lots of memories.. I renember being a kid with my radio shack scanner, listening to police and of course chordless phones it was hilarious hearing my neighbors dirty laundry..

Doh, I just realized I already have this on my phone via the nifty little streaming radio program entitled: WunderRadio

I think that one is available on just about all platforms if I'm not mistaken. Works great on WindoZe Mobile....
