    City Farmer Recipes From Sweden

    Just a sample:

    Rat
    It is said that there are more rats than rabbits in Malmo and Gothenburg.
    Bicycle pounders steak (4 servings)
    4 large rats
    1 carrot
    1 onion
    salt, pepper

    Burn off the fur from the rats with a gas flame. Put a pair of scissors in the anus and cut open the chest. Remove insides, then cut the tail and head. Share rat into four parts, as you do with a chicken. Wrap pieces in foil with chopped onion and carrot. Place directly on coals on the grill. Ready in 15-20 minutes.

    Sounds tasty actually id add mustard powder

    Rat actually tastes like chicken once you get over the fact its rat

    What I did once find shocking that there was a US report on processed foods and hygiene standards
    Which had a paragraph on Acceptable levels of feces in food for human consumption
    The fact they tolerate any level of feces in food for human consumption makes you wonder really..

            I have a problem with rat for some reason, but I'll eat a squirrel any day :^D

              It's funny how we have these prejudices against certain things. I too am a Rattist (one who will not eat rat). But do like me some squirrel. Another thing most American anglers won't eat carp or drum even tho there suppose to be delicious fish.

                Another vote for squirrel here. We used to eat them all the time when I was a kid. Squirrel pie, mmmmm. We fished a lot too, none of that catch and release crap either. Those little fish are delicious, we'd take Johnny roaches and just fry the whole thing up and eat them whole.

                Never tried rat, but why not, meat is meat right.
