Leave it, it's heavy, most likely bolt-action so bad rate of fire too. Plus the IR scope is a bit useless against zombies.

But a magic carpet can fly! Zombies can't fly. And it's magic so you can create food and drink and stuff. Or use your carpet's arcane magic to send fire bolts at the zombies from the sky which would look like fun.
