Obama's numbers are the lowest ever. While not everyone joins the Tea Party, most are unhappy with Obama.

Some of the teabaggers core ideals are solid, but it seems the party attracts retards. If they could effectively police the idiots, they'd have a solid chance of being a viable option.

This is all jealousy. The liberals tried for years to get a tea-party type group together and out in the streets under Bush but were for the most part ignored. A few code pink and moveon.org protests but that's it. The tea party is only a year old and is deciding elections in some districts, they are very powerfull. Even since the tea parties, the libs have tried making liberal versions like the coffee party or the new one they just started whos name I cannot recall. But they are all flops.

Lx, your right, they would do better to police their idiots, but it's in their intirest not to. Right now there is no central leadership in the tea party, no one to police anything really. Anyone who is pissed at the gov can go there and complain. The second they start making rules or vetting their members, their numbers will deminish and the grass roots element of it will no longer exist.

So I can see why they are leaving it decentralized and open for all right now. The drawback of that is that all the racists and idiots with mispelled signs (like mine would be) get to stay.

Either way, it's working and it's pissing off liberals so I support it. I agree with the majority of their core principles but some of their "keep the government out of my medicare" stuff is a little too off reservation for my taste.

Wutchu talkin bout Willis? I don't hold spelling against people on the internet, but if your going to make a sign that says maybe 5 words, the situation seems to warrant a real quick spell check. Spelling 5 words correctly I could handle.

To add some balance, i'll just leave this right here:

CBS SHOCK POLL: 13% believe President's policies have helped them...

Can you believe it? 13% actually believe Obama has helped them in some way?

In other news, apparently large banks and corporations are now included in CBS polls.

I just heard on Marketplace that 43% of Americans aren't in favor of a capitalist system.

                      Damn straight.
Obama has let down more then he has held up. I am not sure who I am more disgusted with.
Obama, or the people that would rather see him fail then our country to do well.
Shame. We have such awesome people here. I wish they were truly represented.

I am more of a communist then a capitalist. I don't mean red Russian communist.
Seems odd to me that paper and credit has replaced things that really matter like farming and building. Self sustainability.
We think we are such hot shit on the planet right now, but we are like a slingshot going backwards building up energy. Then some big event will happen and remind us of how stupid we really are and send us flying forward united for survival or extinction.

Both communism and capitalism are great systems, as long as people aren't greedy twats. Good enough is good enough. Despite what people think, you really don't have to make more this quarter than you did last quarter. You can give employees a decent amount of pay, make a nice chunk for yourself, and have enough left over to improve the company. If you run your company well, you don't have screw people to stay profitable. Who cares if you aren't #1? As long as everybody's supported by the system, what more can you expect out of life?

As far as communism goes, it works on very small scales, but when a bunch of people get involved, you run a greater risk of encountering the leeches, and tyrants. Some of the hippie communes of the 60s were very successful, but even they ran into those issues on their small scale.

Good luck with that. Human nature is greedy. It can be fought but the majority of people will always be greedy. The greediest seem to fight to the top of any system.

Yeah. That is the nature of greed. Only the greedy want that power, that is why the go after it.
I still think a system were officials are appointed in a way similar to jury duty would be more honest.
