2012 Poll: Obama trailing behind every GOP hopefull, tied with Palin.

No, this is not coming from Rasmussen or an internal GOP poll, but from the normally Democrat-sympathetic Public Policy Polling. PPP pitted Barack Obama against five potential Republican challengers for the 2012 presidential campaign, and the only one Obama beat was … Jan Brewer. Even that, PPP admitted, resulted from Brewer’s lack of name recognition. The headline, though, is Sarah Palin’s dead heat with the President:
With his approval numbers hitting new lows it’s no surprise that Barack Obama’s numbers in our monthly look ahead to the 2012 Presidential race are their worst ever this month. He trails Mitt Romney 46-43, Mike Huckabee 47-45, Newt Gingrich 46-45, and is even tied with Sarah Palin at 46. The only person tested he leads is Jan Brewer, who doesn’t have particularly high name recognition on the national level at this point.

It’s not that any of the Republican candidates are particularly well liked. Only Huckabee has positive favorability numbers at 37/28. Romney’s at 32/33, Gingrich at 32/42, Palin at 37/52, and Brewer at 17/20. But with a majority of Americans now disapproving of Obama it’s no surprise that a large chunk of them would replace him as President if they had that choice today.

It's all over in 2012 anyway.

I'm gonna see my doc Monday, I think he may prescribe me an anti-depressant, I've been reluctant to consider such a thing, due to it's tabooness, but I think I'm willing to try it.

It's not all over in 2012. The only thing fueling the fire of the world will end theory (no, really, THIS time it really WILL end, unlike all the other times) is an old calendar, the makers of which have clearly stated means nothing, and ancient tales which so far have been incorrect about nearly everything. Plus, this close to the projected time of the apocolypse, we would be able to see if a nibiru were approaching, if a solar alignment was happening etc, and none of that is happening. And if the Annunaki were supposed to return in 2012, how do we know they are on the same calendar as us?

Either way, I just saw a history channel show on ancient astronauts and it rocked, though they conveniently ommitted quite a bit of info that would have made some of the claims sound bunk.

I saw my first "1-20-13 Obama's Last Day!" bumper sticker on the Mass pike the other day.

I wish the GOP would produce a better leader though. I admittedly have to study a little more, but at the current time I still don't feel confident in Palin being president, perhaps. I am in the camp that says she's smokin' hot, but that's a whole other story. Her name keeps coming up over and over...the GOP must think that they have their best shot with her. We'll see...

Don't do it man. Im telling you its like getting addicted to crack, you can never get off of it and it will have long lasting side effects that will make you dependant. Unless depression is just really destroying your day I would try to refrain if possible. My experience with them was very bad and, therefore, relaly brief.

Yah the GOP better run someone good. If not I don't think theyll win. Obama has got a lot done and still remains without scandal, he is a shoe in unless the GOP produces another reagan or something. I'm voting third party either way.

Also, if they run Palin I swear ill vote for Obama.

I took wellbutrin for awhile to try and quit smoking - I agree with sgreger here.

I was completely worthless (more so then normal) the whole time I was on it. I'd just sit in a daze... Not good at all.

Seriously, your money is better spent on buying weed. it will make you carefree and less depressed, and it will make you sit and stare all the same, but at least youll get a good buzz and enjoy taking it.

Seriousely the one I took, which was a very mild antidepressant, wreaked havoc on my body and it's taken me nearly a year to recover.

Well, I'll see what he says and consider it. But I've really been in the pits lately, but I also think a lot of it is my health and diet related issues. Didn't mean to derail the thread. I have a family history of this as well. Something might be genetic. Thanks for the comments and concerns.

Did you see the list of "winners" listed in the OP?

It isn't looking good. We need to draft Ron Paul.

For that matter - do we have any decent junior senators? It's not like experience counts any more when running for president.

I wish the democrats would see their folly and field a new candidate.

There's no law that the parties have to support the incumbent for another term.
