    About quitting...

I've been now a week without and snus and the first three days were absolutely horrible but then I've managed to keep my self in one piece. It was today when I made the decission to actually quit using snus. My girlfriend is fully supporting me but the main reason wasn't because of her (since she's OK with my snusing) but mostly for money issues. I'm not sure if I'll ever be completely without snus and it wouldn't bother either one of us, but I'm not going to buy any snus from now on. I guess when summer comes and I get a job, things are different but for now, if I want to enjoy snus, I have to kindly ask it from a friend. I made the decission not to at least buy snus and with the support from my girlfriend I'm planning to do so.

Since many of you are ex-smokers, you know what I'm going through. It's quite hard to believe I'm actually doing this but I guess nothing bad comes along quitting.

I'd still love to stick around here, I love the forum. Hopefully you guys have nothing against it.

    "This is the end
    Beautiful friend
    This is the end
    My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes... again

Can you picture what will be
    So limitless and free
Desperately in need... of some... stranger's hand
    In a... desperate land"

I'm sorry to hear that?...Nah, not really. You're doing yourself a favor quitting tobacco. Snus may be the best kind to use, but you're still better off without it. It only gets harder to quit the longer you use, so now's the best time to do it ;^). Congratulations on kicking the habit, and I'd definitely like to see you stay around. It's cool hearing from people from around the world, and I'd like to think there's more to talk about in life other than snus :^)

Sad. I'm an ex-smoker who still wakes up wanting a cigarette after 217 days. The snus don't replace them for me. They just help me pass each day. Good luck staying off. Come back and contribute how you do.

Thanks guys. I used snus about a year (maybe little longer) and surely it's easier to quit when I haven't got a long history of snusing, like lxskllr said. My brother quit snusing around Christmas after maybe three or four years of use. If I need, I'll propably get some support from him also, from an expert this time.
