So, what are you doing with your life?

Just curious about what everybody does here! What do you do career-wise? Are you still in school? Are you happily married with a whole slew of kids? Are you retired? Are you a bum? Are you happy about where you are in life or do you have further ambitions?

As for me, I'm in college (and probably will be for a looong time, since I contracted "senioritis" as soon as I graduated high school and also since I've changed my major yet again :? ), and I work part time at Starbucks. I plan on living with my parents until I'm done with all or most of my schooling. I still don't know how to drive. Yep, life is pretty lame for me right now! :P

Spent a long time in college getting a bachelor's and masters in electrical engineering (took about 5 1/2 years total) at the university of mn (one of the biggest colleges worldwide in both area and number of people). I design silicon chips for hard drives now for a job, been doing that for a number of years now. Otherwise, it's pretty much the standard, married (to a woman who's heritage is Swedish - go figure - maiden name was Carlson), 2 kids (boy and girl), dog (very large), and living in a suburb of Minneapolis.

If I ever decide to stop doing EE, I'll probably become a brewer - I make a bunch of homebrew and it's probably the only job I'd like more . When I have time I play guitar and video games, but with 2 young ones I pretty much don't get to do that anymore. Oh - I forgot to mention, freezing my a$$ off - it's very cold here right now (-10degF).

I suppose many of you would consider that pretty lame, but the last 5 years have been too busy! Getting married, getting a full-time job, having 2 kids, buying a house, buying a dog, etc... I'm looking for a little boredom these days! Besides, I have no more money! Good thing snus are cheaper than smoking!

Well, it was buried a few pages back, you can be forgiven for missing it. Nice to have it all in one place, though - just give it a bump and it can live happily on the front page again 8)

yeah, 3:30am here. I'm a scientist with odd sleeping habits - night shift this week, haha. Got up around 11pm, probably going to make today a long one. I have 24h access to my lab, so I, more or less, get to make my own hours. Not a bad deal, really. The earth spins too fast for me

One last funny thought I just had and we can let this thread move back Zero - don't you specialize in new polymer solar-cells? I couldn't help but laughing when I read about the night shift . Maybe I'm just a nerd, but it struck me funny - oh wait, of course I'm a nerd 8).
