Just wondering if anyone here did anything besides their regular job to make some extra cash? Selling on ebay, consulting, lawn care, etc... Looking for some ideas.

I work as a traveling salesman mainly. When not doing that I...
Run a website for the same company, answer phone, ship packages, and maintain the web site. Kind of 9-5 but I really do what I want too (because commissioned sales instead of salary). Then when I go home I...
Run a small network of internet sites. I started about 3 years ago with 100 dollars to prove to some stupid Democrat welfare junky (my own sister) I could start with nearly nothing and make money on the web. In two years I was making 2500 a month on the side online. Last year I sold most of it for a tidy profit. Of course I missed the extra cash, so this year I started again and now have another 7 websites running. Go to yard sales and find treasures to sell on Ebay. I have been doing this off and on for 10 years now. Though Ebay isn't what it once was, there is still some money to be had. I had a friend making 100k profits a year from Ebay for years, just buying and selling junk. I don't have his eye for junk thats valuable, but I do ok.
I live in the US and regardless of the self defeatist attitudes I see rampant in many people here, this really is the land of opportunity still. My own self defeatist attitude tells me it wont be for much longer though.

So if you start grossing a fair amount of cash through any online channel, you'll be paying some taxes. The advertising companies I work with on the websites I own send proper tax info for tax time.
