    Side jobs

Just wondering if anyone here did anything besides their regular job to make some extra cash? Selling on ebay, consulting, lawn care, etc... Looking for some ideas.

I work as a traveling salesman mainly. When not doing that I...

Run a website for the same company, answer phone, ship packages, and maintain the web site. Kind of 9-5 but I really do what I want too (because commissioned sales instead of salary). Then when I go home I...

Run a small network of internet sites. I started about 3 years ago with 100 dollars to prove to some stupid Democrat welfare junky (my own sister) I could start with nearly nothing and make money on the web. In two years I was making 2500 a month on the side online. Last year I sold most of it for a tidy profit. Of course I missed the extra cash, so this year I started again and now have another 7 websites running. There are no excuses (other than stupidity and laziness) for not being able to make money online right now. When not doing that I...

Go to yard sales and find treasures to sell on Ebay. I have been doing this off and on for 10 years now. Though Ebay isn't what it once was, there is still some money to be had. I had a friend making 100k profits a year from Ebay for years, just buying and selling junk. I don't have his eye for junk thats valuable, but I do ok.

I live in the US and regardless of the self defeatist attitudes I see rampant in many people here, this really is the land of opportunity still. My own self defeatist attitude tells me it wont be for much longer though.

Well as a very small time Ebay seller, I feel I have stayed under the radar and probably would not owe a whole lot even if they did come after me. But they did come after my buddy for his Ebay sales because he was making so much money it was obvious. So after about 3 years he started getting letters and had to start reporting and paying. So if you start grossing a fair amount of cash through any online channel, you'll be paying some taxes. The advertising companies I work with on the websites I own send proper tax info for tax time.

Or you can mow lawns and hide your money in a coffee can.

This is the main reason the government wants to go to a cashless society. Every transaction can be observed.

I design free online game sites with the quick flash games. Kind of like addictinggames but a lot smaller. The I practice arbitrage by buying and selling traffic and running the traffic through my web sites getting money from advertisers, and trading that traffic with other websites. I really haven't been as into it this time around though so I only make a couple hundred a month from this.

I just got a puppy last month so most of my recent time has been saying the words." Ok go potty"

If you don't get 1099ed on a side job, and you already have a regular source of income you are paying taxes on, you don't need to pay taxes.

Graphic design. Mural painting. Freelance IT(Network administration,Virtualization, things like that). Freelance web design. Video editing. I do anything I can that uses my creativity. Gotta pay those art school loans. Plus I have some IT certs that I fall back on when tattoos don't pay the bills.
