The Breakup of the United States

If we didn't sell all the agriculture products we do or sell all the movies we do, the whole place would collapse to civil unrest in an instant.

Not to mention laser guided missiles and tanks.
Look at the damage of a bunch of insurgents who cannot shoot straight did in Iraq. Imagine those same tactics here with better marksman. I think the American Revolution was fought with only 3 percent of the citizens against a empire. We will have over 25 percent unemployed and if they get hungry watch out!
Although I doubt that it is going to be that way. I see a major tax revolt which will shut down the fed once people start seeing more neighbors houses, cars being taken away. Perestroika had some skirmishes but was over pretty quickly.

I agree, it was 20% though I believe, but a major army would be helpless in the long run against a guerilla force, especially when were fighting against our own army. And also, the kids in the army aren't about to go shooting their own families and neighbors, the american military is very different from places like south america.
But a tax revolt is impossible. The majority of people in the US get their money by working for someone. The employer takes your taxes out before they pay you, therefore you cannot NOT pay your taxes. Unless everyone claimed 20 kids on their W-4 at the beginning of the year and then come tax time didn't pay any of the money they owed back, but that's too complicated for 300 million people to pull off.

For the other half that dont pay or vote you are correct, they will not be changing their W2's anytime soon.
I would bring up Property Tax but that is what will keep your state going once the FED collapses. This however is a large chunk of cash to pay once you dont have a job and could get ugly or just nulled in a collapse situation.

With so many people out of work, you might not have to do anything. People not working dont pay taxes and people who are broke tend to try and cheat more often on their taxes. This is why they are hiring 16,000 new IRS agents to try and up the tax collection. It is also why the healthcare bill mandates a 1099 for anything over $600, that way they can track even the smallest of purchases and tax them accordingly.
And now we learn the new financial reform bill has a little publicized section in it that says they are exempt from any type of transparency and do not have to asnwer any Freedom of Information requests. So much for transparency.

Otherwise we would have 50 states all acting as soverign nations, absent of any union between them, which would lead to very bad things in my opinion. Having 50 different sets of commerce rules would make trade difficult, and I could easily picture how quickly landwars between states would break out.
In any event, I don't think a trade war or land war between Kansas and Nebraska could be anywhere near as bad as what we have today. In the aforementioned scenario, you could flee to Missouri but there's no escaping the grasp of Mordor on the Potomic. Snusers still smarting over our recent intimate encounter with the federal government and their PACT Act shouldn't have any problem seeing where I'm coming from here.

Though there were blood shed, like people run over by the tanks and shot.
But one of famoused was the baltic chain where people held their hands through baltics over hundreds of km

I'd go with a quality AR before a mini-14.......it's just a couple hundred dollars more. Everyone makes aceseries and magazines for the AR and the AR is capable of tack driving accuracy. Still, anything you get is better than nothing but be sure to practice with whatever you do get. Owning a gun doesn't make you a warrior any more than owning a piano makes you a musician.
