You guys might remember how back in the thread about the rioting in Oakland, I mentioned how I was sick of every time a white N (insert cop, teacher, boss, damn near anything) is involved in something with a X (pick your minority of choice), when X does something bad or gets hurt/killed, it's always the white guy's fault because of racism. Here is a perfect example of the sort of crap I was getting tired of hearing.

His girlfriend tries to make it out as if the guy who shot and killed eight of his co-workers is the real victim here. Now, I can't say for sure whether or not there was discrimination, not being all knowing, but I can say there's a right and wrong way to deal with it. Gunning down your eight least favourite co-workers and killing yourself is not on the list of acceptable ways to solve the problem. I can't stand when I hear people trying to explain away violent, unnecessary crime with racism. It's one thing to say "Hey, that fancy office building is the only place in his range to make a wage you can live off of, but they won't hire him because he's black, so that's why he's out selling dope or robbing houses." It's another entirely to say "What, you don't like black people? *BAM* There, I just shot a little girl on her way to school because of your racism. All your fault."

This guy was obviously not a good worker and a theif, stealing from the company. He probably was a loser, and swallowed all that racist bull that idiots like Jesse and Al feed to black people, that all their troubles in life is because of whitey. In fact, he was the racist, that purposly targeted white people to kill. Job sites generally do nor have metal detectors and armed guards. Any nut with any grudge(even self made) can go nuts in any place of work. If our government really cared about it's citizens, people like Farrakhan, Al, and Jesse, and Wright, would be arrested and sent to labor and re-education camps.

Why say 'in fact' he was racist when you (assumption here) don't know the guy. Most of his co-workers (executives of the company) were probably white...

Well, it just struck me, from what I read, along with his stealing, that he had this attitude that all da whiteys was after him. And after he was fired from stealing, which of course was his way to get back at dem honkeys, he jus had ta take em out. Maybe I am wrong, but unless this place was way off in da klan boonies, if someone is really being racially, or religiously harrassed, the authorities don't play, and will investigate it. I could be totally wrong, but he just seemed like someone mad at his own inablities to work and not steal, and so be blamed his white coworkers. Of course this is all just guessing, based on what I have read.

Fair enough; i just believe that the label 'racist' gets thrown around too freely, no matter who it's being applied to.

I agree, it does, and it was my reaction to the story that the guy went on a killing spree, because he felt harrassed by his co-workers. Maybe he was, but of course that's no excuse to do what he did. Whatever his "reason" was, precieved or not, what he did discredited it.
