Hi everyone...first day on the site. I'll get right to it. I am currently writing a book and I am doing a chapter on the Burger Chef Murders. I noticed a few posts relating to it and if there is anyone that has any information and wouldn't mind being quoted in the book please feel free to reach out. There is a complete section on unsolved murders so if you have any thoughts on any old unsolved cases please feel free. The book will be released in the fall and there are a few chapters currently available to read at the website. Please keep in mind that they are rough drafts. Here's the info...

The book is in seven parts.
Part I: Serial Killers
Part II: Spree Killers
Part III: Mass Murderers
Part IV: Unsolved Murders
Part V: Women Who Kill
Part VI: Other Notorious Murders
Part VII: Killers Releases To Kill Again
I'm not trying to sell books here (still writing) just looking for input. Thanks everyone.

I knew Dan...
I went to school with Dan Davis, one of the students who was murdered. He sat in the desk behind me during our sophomore English class, and the events of that weekend still resonate with me to this day. The following Monday an air of surrealism swept through our school as the reality of what had happened since we left our classes the previous Friday settled over us like a weighted storm cloud, enveloping us in stunned grief. The sight of Dan’s empty desk was the first time most of us had brushed this close to mortality, and we struggled with how we were supposed to feel compared to how we actuality felt. This was long before tragedies such as Columbine initiated access to on-premise grief counselors, and we were primarily left to our own devices to sort out and try to make sense of one of our own being so violently, senselessly and unexpectedly taken from us. Two days later I stood next to Dan’s open casket, saying the sort of goodbyes you never really expect to hear yourself say at that age.
I'll be posting my memories of the event on my blog later today, and hopefully it will help keep the memory of the four who were lost alive.
