Wonder if they ended up having to pay for the life jackets??
Some Wal-Mart workers donned life jackets from the store’s sporting goods department after discovering firefighters didn’t have sufficient life jackets within their own supplies, said Susan Gwiasda, a City of Ames spokeswoman.
    Employee's discount, maybe?

See now that's what i mean about spell checkers being useless. They don't do context. "Arc" is a perfectly fine word but there's not a spell checker made that could divine that the spelling "ark" was correct in this case.

I have it on good authority that Noah's favorite tool was an ark welder.

Edit: I read the article, after making some markedly offensive comments about Iowa.

I will say that being stuck in a wallmart during a flood is one of my primary nightmare end of the world sequences. Getting stuck in an Iowa wallmart during the zombie apocalypse is, however, a very exciting prospect to me. I am assuming that they sell guns in Iowa wallmarts.

Not too bad, I ran some stuff up to my cousin in Ames with a 9 month old. Other than a few routes around town being shut down here, we're good.

I sandbagged quite a bit back in my day, can't do that stuff anymore, hah.

Nope, no guns in the Iowa Wal-Marts. I have checked, I wanted to buy a shotgun but they dont carry them or ammo, just knives and fishing gear.

And it's OK to make offensive comments about Iowa, I do, I really dont like living here, I used to live in San Francisco. I'm now stuck in the black hole known as Iowa.
