    Musicians show your gear.

I don't know if this has been done before but if you play an instrument, show your gear. Here is mine:

Basses: Fullerton fretless & 1977 Fender Jazz Bass.
Amp: GK Backline 115 combo & 210 BLX II extention cab
Effects: Digitek Bass Distortion, Boss Digital Delay, & Morley channel switch w/ volume pedal.

well hell..........so I'm the second one to post. ok then here ya go

a newer Les Paul copy. piece of crap. new but not worth posting a pic. [limit of 4 photos per post on this site]

another newer Les Paul copy. another piece of crap, but it plays pretty good

1965 Hagstrom 12 string. real nice player

brand new Deans 12 string banjo. only several hundred made. sounds incredible

1964 Gibson SG original. a real treasure

I almost never play the SG cuz if I break it I'm out a ton of $. I rarely play the Deans 12 string cuz its new and very rare so I'm saving both of those. The Hagstrom 12 string I still play somewhat, but again, its also becoming a collectors guitar so I have to be very carefull with it. The blue Les Paul is my beater guitar that I do play occasionally. The Les paul not pictured is nice but Its mostly for others to play.

    I play with myself alot............
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I run the Epiphone on a Line-6 Spider III. Have a Boss Loop Pedal too.
Don't really play the clarinet (never could really) and I have to work on my chops for the trumpet. The saxes need work. The alto is a selmer that plays well but needs new pads. The tenor is terrible. It's wicked old and made in France. It might be worth something if it actually played. It used to but it's been resting for so long that it would take hundreds of dollars to get her back to working order.

I don't play in a band, so this set-up works great when I actually have the time to jam. I am very happy with my Schecter, probably the most dependable, durable, and versatile guitar I've ever played.

The Roland Cube 30x is nice also. The clean channel is awesome, and it has enough built in effects to do what I need. The only one's I ever really use are delay and reverb. If I had the money, I would much rather have a tube amp. I never use the disortion models on the amp because they are not all that great. Instead, I play the Metal Muff through the clean channel, which is some of the best custom distortion you can get short of an expensive set-up.

BTW, I was always a dedicated Dunlop Tortex Green (.88 I think) user. But I picked up some of those Dunlop Jazz III picks (the red ones), and find my playing to be a lot better. The tortex ones give you a thicker sound vs. the Jazz III brighter sound, but the Jazz III will give you pinch harmonics with ease and it really cleaned up my playing.

Edit: I'm not at home, so I can only post generic pics.

If anyone would like a 5 song unmastered nonfinal mixed sampler MP3s of my band's(ASTRUM) new upcoming album, just email me at audio_impact(at)yahoo(dot)com, and I'll mail them to you. I wrote the material, and play bass and vocals on them.

I really don't play that much anymore due to the arthritis in my hands and such. But I love my guitars and would never sell them. They are small and easy to move and store. Unlike the Klipschorns that I recently sold. you need a very large room to use them in and our next house will be somewhat smaller than this. The K-horns had to go... however sad it was to sell them.

yea I can play a lil bluegrass but that 12 string banjo really brings on a different sound to any music. Its just so unusal and full sounding. I love that thing.

that cort is really a pretty guitar.

That is so cool! I think I know what you mean about a unique banjo sound. Sometimes I listen to Blue Highway and it is a treat to hear their banjo player playing solo. If you get a chance listen to "Farmer's Blues" by Blue Highway. Some of the best banjo I have ever heard in my life.

If you're into banjos, be sure to catch the new PBS documentary titled "Give Me the Banjo," narrated by Steve Martin (82 minutes).

The film tracks "the whole scope of the banjo from its African roots all the way through how it traces America’s social history, going all the way back."

                          Found the program delightfully informative.
