    Blood Dolphins

Fresh on the heals of The Cove, the animal planet tv show is showing. I must admit it's a bit difficult watching dolphins being herded up, slid up on the boat and ending up staining the bay with their blood.

Is this the video that has been around the internet forever how they heard the dolphins by ecolocation and then just pull them up, stab them a few times and let them bleed out?

Then sell it usually as "whale meat"?

That shit is ****ed up, no doubt.

The Cove was a fairly good movie. I thought it was a bit slow at times but it had some great parts to it. I could feel the adrenaline pumping when they showed how they set up hidden camera's along the beach. The movie was also pretty good at demonstrating how ineffective and one sided a government can be towards solving problems. The solutions seemed a bit simple though and there website lists 5 easy steps that we can take to help out. The movie also focused on how we are depleting our ocean of marine life. I thought that they could have done a better job by telling people that they should be more aware of the type of seafood that they are eating and knowing it's source. It could also have offered vegetarianism as an option. Overall, this movie reminds me of An Inconvenient Truth where we have Al Gore traveling around the country in an SUV telling us we need to change the type of light bulb we are using. The movie makes some great points about how we are really screwing something up and then offers a partially effective and simplified solution to the problem.
