OK - we've got to the whole point of this little exercise - I've shaved my head for the first time in my life - with a Mach 3 and I'd whole heartedly recommend noobies to this lark to use a Gillette.

Found shaving the head to be much much easier than shaving my face and I reckon now that the hair's gone I'll just go against the grain.

To the DE supporters - I understand what you're getting at - there is the tiniest bit of stubble left after using the Mach 3 but nothing to worry about.

And here's the result - taken on a crappy camera at work. Photographs never look good when you take them yourself.

Oh yeah - I've got a Thunder Frosted in - where is it placed competition.

Let us know what happens! I am balding up top and have asked my wife about ten times if I can just shave it off. I have a feeling I will be doing wrist presses for years if I do it.

Frosted, if i remember correctly you were already buzzing it fairly close with clippers? If that's the case, honestly, i'm sure she will like it if not love it. It won't be that much of a change.

Vegan, my advice would be to just start buzzing it shorter and shorter. That is the approach i took before finally just shaving it. My girlfriend loves the fact that i shave it now but also said it really wasn't that much different since it was always very short anyway.

It seems that it's always a bigger deal/ change (understandably so) for the man than the woman. That's my experience anyway for what it's worth.

Edit: Looks great by the way Frosted.

I already shave down to a 1 and a 2 on the blades at the barber shop. My guess is she is hoping it may come back one day.

Thanks for your positive comments lads - it really helps boost the confidence (not that I ever give a sh** these days about what people think - but it certainly helps).

I was already shaving it on a Wahl trimmer without attachments so the shave is just a cleaner version of that really. GoVegan - get your own trimmer - the Wahl professionals are £30 on Amazon.

If the wife turns round to me this morning when I get home and says she doesn't like it - stuff her. I like it.

I had to google him - and yeah - there are some striking similarities. He's got exactly the same shaped skull as I have and exactly the same shaped nose (well, certainly before I got it busted).
