You have to excuse him. Shaving with a straight makes Owens a bit "edgy"!
Does anybody here properly shave their head?

As we all know, except for GoVegan (jab), cuts on the scalp bleed all freakin' day. I may have to give this a try. And yes, if I used a straight razor, I would invest in some fancy creams!

I used to use Wahl super taper clippers but no matter how I set the blades it wasn't not close enough so I've forked out for a Wahl 'balding' clipper set.
These little babies shave it all right off giving that one days growth after a head shave look.
I'll alternate between shaving with the razor and just trimming it depending on how I feel I want it. Just gives me more flexibility over look. Some days I like a little stubble and some days I like it smooth.
I'll sell the Muhle DE to anybody for £10 not inclusive of postage if anybody's interested. There's a couple of packets of blades too.

Shaving your head is a bitch sometimes. Occasions arise when you want to trim up but don't feel like going through the routine. And I beg your pardon, wtf is with all the criticism coming from someone who doesn't shave their head? Lol. Seriously Vegan, if you really want to give it a try, I strongly recommend taking the stance that it's your head, and you want to try it to see how both you and your wife like it. Unless your head is badly malformed, I bet she will like it. And feel free to continue calling me out on my methods, as long as you don't mind if I start calling you out for tucking your balls between your legs and refusing to let go of your last precious few hairs! Lol just kidding around brother. (Shave it)

As I said above I use to shave with the expensive blades since they came out and switched a while back to the Wahl lithiom Ion trimmer with the razor attachment cost is about $40.00 for the whole set up and it shave your head as smooth as a babys ass . I do mine every day by the way its also a great face shave once you get use to it ! You also have to understand that you must shave aginst the grain of your hairs they do have a grain direction . And the thing has the best strongest motor I ever had in a shaver with the Lithium Ion battery its just a great all around set up specialy if you take the time to learn to use it and the things got a waranty on it for 5 yrs and its made in the USA a family owned business in Illnois I think .... There cust service is top notch also . I actually own 2 a them Walmart sells them online and in some a there stores but they will ship it to your store free or very small charge to your home either way it a cost you under $40.00 for a shaver that a last many many yrs and will do a beeter than good job for you .
I also use the attacments 2 a them that come with it to trim my stache and it does a perfect job . And us older farts will understand this one it has a ear and nose attachment and it works beyond great . and by the way the blades are machined sharpened NOT like the other companys stamped ones that go dull quicker and pull and drag after a short time .

Okey dokey.
Just used the Wahl 'balding' and I've got to say, as per usual for Wahl, this is a superior piece of kit.
If you like a bit of stubble this is the one. It is the closest Wahl clipper on the market as the only other stage available is to use a razor. Other Wahl clippers, even with no attachment leave too much hair for me.
The problem I've encountered with all this head shaving is - you've got to razor every single day to look great, and that's time consuming. If you've got a job and young kids to juggle time is at a premium.
If I don't razor every day, and as my natural hair colour is very fair, I get a grey 'velcro' after a day which pales out my head and doesn't look good whereas a proper two/three day stubble does look good - but any longer doesn't.
The 'balding' clippers really do keep it at the right length and it only takes a few minutes to get it done.

I like the velcro stage the best. I still need to look into these balding clippers, though I'm a bit confused. My alternative to a razor is currently some cheap beard-trimming device. Using that with no attachment is the same as 3 day-s growth for me, or even 4. I need to find out just how short these Wahl clippers go. I'll do that right now... thanks Frosted

If you like the one day velcro the best I'd suggest a philishave rotary. It's not as close as a wet shave but it will give you that grey look.
