Yah, it's pretty sad huh. Then the media is like "gee, I don't know why everyone is calling Obama some kind of commie, he just wants to create jobs for people." The problem is that government jobs are costly and lead to financial ruin in the long term. The private sector is where the wealth comes from, and what forms the foundation of the economy (and it is dying, right along with the middle class).
Then nationalizing corporations, growing government, runnaway spending, earth shattering deficits, taking civil liberties, endorsing torture, using states secrets privaledge to avoid having to answer for torturing people without cause, spying on people without a warrant etc. People called Bush a fascist, and now people are calling Obama a communist. Is any of this really a surprise? We have been taken over.
Obama cares not one bit about the lost job-producing potential from America's small businesses. He cares about political power - political power he can use to promote and implement his radical political ideology.

He only cares about losing one job... his. That's why he keeps changing his position on things depending on the polls (most politicians do, not picking on just one)
All he is doing is setting the country to be officially bankrupted and then taken over by the U.N. It has been the goal of the U.N. to rule America since it's inception and he is well on his way to getting us there.

The UN couldn't even handle Yugoslavia. What makes you think they are going to take on the USA?
If the government wants to waste money on employment, they should do 30s style government projects. You know, the kind of things that are nice to have, but no one really wants to spend money on. It would still be wasting money, but people would be working, and we'd get some nice stuff when it's finished. Beats pissing it away anyhow :^/

Wow, I'm waking up to a really SANE comment!!
Much more productive and satisfying than those damn census taker
jobs that don't amount to more than a piss-hole in the snow.
Those projects you mentioned were way before my time but I remember
the old-timers of my youth recalling fondly that those jobs kept the
country going until some sense of prosperity took hold.
ummm no he didn't. He chaired one meeting over one vote about nuclear disarmament...... Big whoooppeee!
The presidency of the UN Security council rotates between the member nations once per month. It was the United States' turn to chair the Security Council for a month, and it would normally be chaired by the U.S. Ambassador to the UN (Susan Rice, on his right). But he and Rice agreed he'd chair the meeting for this vote only.
Everybody always babbles on about truth. Truth is subjective and changes based on the information you start with. If you are only given part of the story it's real easy to come to the wrong conclusion.
Of course hiding some of the facts is fine for dailypaul or infowars so it will fit their preconceived view of reality. They've got an agenda to sell.
and no it doesn't.
It doesn't tell us how much worse it would have been without the stimulus. How many more jobs would have been lost?
All those GM and Chrysler workers that have jobs now would have been jobless, the banks...
How many teachers firefighters etc etc would have been laid off?
How much worse? We can speculate all day.
Until you factor in the jobs that were saved by the stimulus you haven't said it all.
Wonder if the Heritage foundation has a graph for that?
