I know someone that's like, "She's in a bad mood.... wait for it... OK now she's OK. Quick, we only have 5 minutes." lol

NOTE: Not making fun of bi-polar but if everyone would just stay on their meds it would make things so much better.

One thing that is constant about life, is change.

Isn't "change" what President Obummer promised us. Well thats what he gave us. And thats all I have left in my bank.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I don't have any info on this but my guess is whenever you take a large group of active young people and stick them together, your bound to have some injuries and fatalities whether it be in the service or on a college campus. There is absolutely nothing in life without risk. Many people risk their lives by working in a convenience store at night or by driving a taxi. At least you get rewarded for that risk if you are in the military.
Have to agree with all of that.

In op Telic (second Iraq war) only 136 British soldiers were killed in battle - that's in an all out war. Not bad.
There are 194,440 personnel serving with the British Army - not counting RAF or Navy or reserves. If you count RAF Navy and reserves there are millions upon millions of people ready to serve (and I've learned something here - I'm on the reserves until 49).

If you're young enough I'd give the military a go - make sure you get somewhere that gives you a trade and don't join the infantry. Reason? - everybody gets out sometime.

Man, sorry to hear about your many troubles Daruckis. If I were you I'd see it as an opportunity knowing how young you are... Sell everything you own, find a way to borrow or make some quick cash, and go some place far away that interests you and start over or keep on the go until you find somewhere/something/someone suitable. Just some lame advice, but I just spent a week with a hilarious and wild Dutchman and his new girlfriend I met on the road. Things weren't going his way so he bought a one-way ticket to Malaysia and I'm jealous of his position having cut all of his ties.

Myself, I just got done using all of the paid vacation I have until next September (2011), I'm broke, I came back to LOTS of bills, and I gotta work tomorrow and return to the life of a man whose nuts are in the firm grip of his boss and financial obligations. It ****ing sucks, but it sure was nice to get away for a bit. Hope things get better. Got a car? Drive to Argentina and see what happens along the way. What do you have to lose? Peace, Roo

D, hope things take a turn for the better. I suck at advice so I'll just link a vid. I thought about "Don't Worry Be Happy" but that just makes me more pissed off when I'm down. So here is something a bit more real for ya....

It always gets better, and, if it doesn't, it can't get any worse, only different. Just take some bong rips and watch cartoons while blaring outkast. Works for me.

                      Good luck.

I definitely see your point, but two people in my family (not immediate) have been killed from IEDs in Afghanistan (one was only 19 years old). As well, I know someone in the Marine Corps who has witnessed ten soldiers die over the span of three deployments. In my personal opinion, I would advise against joining the military, but it's all personal choice, and every decision comes with risks and rewards.
