      • The moon dust has not been weathered like Earth sand and has sharp edges. These properties allow the moon dust particles to stick together and retain their shape in the vacuum environment of the moon. The astronauts described it as being like "talcum powder or wet sand".[102]
      • This theory was demonstrated to be unsubstantiated on the MythBusters episode "NASA Moon Landing".
Actually they did that on Mythbusters and the key to it seemed to be the partial vacuum of space makes the sand/dust more still. The were able to duplicate the footprint in dry dust with a vacuum present as opposed to not being able to without the vacuum.

As for the light that is just basic, and they did that too. The moon surface is reflecting and scattering white light at all angles, enough to light things in the shadow of the sun.

I think the point is that up until the light tree falls many would think that is the actual footage based on how well they replicated it.

Re: My UFO video from co-worker.

I am retracting my claim that it was a UFO. Upon further research, it is my opinion that this was a very convenient angle of video taken of a custom made Rc plane with a series of bright lights attached to it. It appears throughout this last year others have been seeing these lights as well, and from the videos they have posted it seems quite clear to me that they are large Rc planes of some type with custom made light structures. The lights being so bright that it makes the visual appearance of an object much larger than it actually is due to how its exposed on the lens.

It appears there is a hobby shop down the road which is frequented by a group of people who custom makes large Rc planes with blue light structures on them, and they fly them in the exact area this video was taken. I am not sure if that's what this is or not, but they also report to use bright blue lights which can by turned on/off from a switch on the remote. Therefore, in an effort to come to the most logical conclusion, I have decided this video is just an optical illusion created by a smaller, but brightly lit craft flown by human operators that appears to be much bigger than it is due to how lenses pick up light (exposure makes it look larger than it is).

That's my guess. I no longer think it's a UFO. Too coincidental that there is guys making brightly blue lit custom RC planes in the same 5 city-block area for that not to be taken into account. As for the effect this guy saw that led him to believe it shot into space, with something that bright, a quick vertical upturn followed by switching off the lights may cause an illusion where it looks like the light is streaking up and then since the light source is turned off, it appears like the object just hit warp drive and then dissapeared in the direction it was last see going (up).

That's a terrible attempt at proving a point then. It looked fake as soon as I saw him jump off the ladder in full gravity. Lol, cool video though.

Yah, the problem is that i have never heard of a UFO lit up like that. I have heard of changing colors in the lights, but never a solid beam like that. Then the flickering was kind of wierd to. And while it banked left and right alot, it never moved very far distances all at once, which most UFO videos usually show them doing.

Just wanted to make sure since my name is on this thing on the forum and frankly I am no longer convinced it is anything but a kickass RC plane that I really want to own. (Mainly just so I can fly it over Tom's house when i'm drunk).

I can replicate a picture of the stars, therefore all other pictures of stars are NASA fakes.

Sorry mate - the research on the moon landings. If you did that I'm well impressed.

I've been fascinated by the moon landings - have books on it. Those guys all had a massive BIG HUGE HUMONGOUS set of balls.

By that logic then the Civil War is a hoax too.

I guess the MIB paid you a little visit. This bar of light is very similar to a craft that Billy Meier encountered. That's what it reminded me of. So you think this is a rc plane? Show us a comparable video of a known rc plane with such lights.

This from the guy who never has anything to back his claims, or the claims he purports to be real.

Lol, no that was wikipedia baby! But all stuff i've known for a while. Most of the claims of foul play come from simple mis-understandings. Just because you can pull the trigger on your digital camera doesn't mean you understand photgraphic in space, places like the moon are very brigth and drown out things like stars. Old technology is also unfamiliar to a lot of people, so some things that happen, like the crosshairs ink bleeding into the black background makes it appear to someone nowadays (whos accustomed to perfect digital pictures) as thgouh the croshairs were placed afterwords or "behind" the object etc.

I just havn't seen any smoking gun of a hoax yet. The 9-11 conspiracies at least have a pretty good basis for their claims, but the moon one I ain't seeing nothing to go by.

They make RC flying discs also. I have a very elementary one made for kids, but the adult versions are fairly complicated.
