We would have to rewrite everything we know about every discipline of science. The rate at which hydrogen burns in suns, how gravity affects things over time, the amoutn of energy in the universe as a whole, disribution of mass/energy, how long it takes for heat to distribute itself. There is just no way the world could be that old. Additionally, time/years would be measured differently on an alien planet. We use 1 revolution around the sun as a baseline, but a planet in a distant galaxy with a different orbital length would have a longer/shorter year. But even then, a race 43 trillion years more advanced than us would be smart enough to realize this and have their "contact" with this guy be aware of our calendar so they can use our prefered unit of measure when citing numbers.
I'm sorry but that just throws me off. I could even look past the cheesy "transcenders" name (which is some shit I would expect to see in a vidogame), I can't overlook the claim that they are that old. If they were that old, and have been here on earth for that long, surely some of them would have made themselves known by now. Why would they wait several hundred thousand years before making contact with humans? What's so special about today? What, because we're a decade into a global warming trend?
Sounds like this author plans to profit off of both the conspiracy theorist and global warming supporter demographics with his book.
