It's Official: I Have Leukoplakia

well this isn't surprising revelation.
I think 1-3 portions a day won't hurt, though. everything in moderation, right?
I also like the idea of moving around where you pack it in your mouth....
EDIT-
I also want to add, that at the hospital where I spend some time, many residents dip, since it's an easier way to stay focused on long shifts. And many older doctors take smoking breaks.
My point? Many people do many "unhealthy" habits, even those who normally are role models for health (to an extent). Snus is pretty benign as far as bad habits go, I believe.

Update:
After reluctantly taking my dentist's advice, I have switched sides. I have never put snus in my upper right lip before, so I was in a for a big surprise. At first, it burned (in a good way). More importantly, I felt a jolt of nicotine that I haven't felt in years. Perhaps my dentist gave me good advice! Anyway, I hypothesize the "healthy" gum tissue on my right side is more efficient at absorbing nicotine, since the surface contains more moisture compared to the patchy and white gum tissue on my left side.

As well, he said the fiber glass in tobacco is what degrades gum tissue. Hahaha.
As with the leukoplakia diagnosis, I'm not too worried. Studies have shown that cancer resulting from leukoplakia in snus users DOES NOT turn into cancer.

Wow, some guys are so naive to think there's fiberglass in the tobacco. That would cut your mouth to death people. lol

@Lazer let's be honest for a minute...
That would ban every single can of dip and snus out there...
I have seen those shiny bits in most cans of snus as well.
Come on..
The next time you open a tin of dip and see a shiny bit in it, please go and find a laboratory for some testing.
It's not glass, imagine what glass would do to your throat.
By the way have you had glass on your skin ever? It ****ing kills you, you will scratch yourself for days and doesn't go off with water. Imagine what would be in your mouth. lol

Additives
There are few reports confirming exactly what additives are in smokeless tobacco, and it is very likely that brands vary in what and how much of each additive they use. There is a widespread urban myth that fiberglass is added which is incorrect, resulting in higher and faster nicotine absorption, but at least in the case of snus, the appearance of glass-like particles may be due to the formation of salt crystals.[10]
