I might be wrong but I'm sure I remember reading that los snus is a greater cause of lesions than portions as it comes into direct contact with your mouth....Might be worth switching if you're using los to see if things improve....Just an idea anyway...

Good point and I have looked hard on the internet to find that 2nd case without any luck. Thanks for putting it back in perspective. I am wondering though if it is the tobacco causing the leukoplakia or just irritation? Would you be safer using a product like Oomph over regular snus?

I suspect a lot of it's the salt. I've gotten pickle cheek when I get on sunflower seed kicks. Also, tying in Pris' comment, I think lös tends to cause it more do to the very close coverage. It's basically a tobacco plaster against your lip and gums. I'm not concerned enough to switch.

IT's also caused by smoking and drinking and sorry to inform everyone that it does lead to cancer in very isolated cases.

Well, we're all taking the risk, smoking has been one of then at least for me for the past 14 years or so now I'm on snus and dip but don't know for how long.
