    Here's my theory;

    Our body sloughs dead skin cells constantly, right? Maybe in your case the portion material is helping do that at an accelerated rate, and deposit them on the inside of your lip. I had something similar once, but it was after a long night of drinking and of course has snus in...hell I even fell asleep with my snus. When I woke up and spit out the snus, I noticed a slight ridge of really rough skin on the inside of my upper lip. Went to the bathroom and checked it out and it was a small white patch of skin (I assumed), so I scratched it off and brushed my teeth. Haven't had that problem again, I attribute it to drinking all night, and passing out without brushing my teeth. Maybe it was just plaque, paste...who the hell knows, lol. That's the only time something like that's happened to me...not even sure if it's the same thing you're experiencing. Is this a "new" problem, or has it been ongoing since you've used snus? Regardless...you should see a dentist.

      I second this post. I had the same thing happen with crest prohealth. I switched to ARM and hammer total care and the problem cleared up for me after one or two days.

        I'm going to third this post, lol. About 10 years ago (before I was using tobacco products of any kind) I started having a serious skin/gum issue, with peeling and tons of ulcers. Doctor had no idea what the problem was. Stopped using tartar control toothpastes and it stopped. I now stick with el cheapo no frills toothpaste and haven't had any issues. I also don't have any cavities, so it seems to work just as well as the fancy stuff.

          The 'skin' that forms inside your mouth after using this toothpaste is actually a protective film. Usually 15-30 minutes after brushing this will occur, and it is due to the ingredients specific to the crest prohealth toothpaste, as well as a few others that use it. I was wondering about it myself and asked a dental hygienist friend of mine that knew all about it. I didn't like the feeling of it either and eventually switched myself, although it is nothing to worry about.

            Don't feed the troll.

            If he isn't, I'd say go to a dentist. I don't think snus alone is causing this, but maybe some sort of gum disease.

                    loooooool

                    I guess seeing a doctor in this case would be more recommended ....

                    This thread caught my attention, never heard anyone with chunks of skin peeling of front the inside of their lip .... from snus.........

                      PP beat me to it. Have you been working at a mansion in Raccoon City? If so, congrats! You are now a zombie.

                        Do you brush your teeth before bed, guy? That could be the issue.

                          After doing a Google search for this, I came across this thread and felt compelled to register and post. THE EXACT SAME THING is happening to me and has been for the past 2-3 months. Been using Jakobsson's Mint for 18 months or so and it just started happening in my upper-left quadrant where I keep my snus.

                          Next time it happens I will snap a picture with my cell phone and post it (not that it will be pretty!).

                            I'd say you both need to see your respective dentists.
