Hey guys , josh here. I have been smoking since I was 15 years old. I am currently 18 now. I just quit smoking for snus , so far i like it. But my mouth has never been the cleanest. lol I am starting to brush like 3 times a day , I used to only brush once at night. But my gums look a little weird already. But , should i quit snusing and work on my dental shit first so its not as bad in the long run . Or should i just keep snusing and floss/ mouth wash and brush , do you think my gums will heal while snusing and cleaning? or do i need to quit and the clean out first.I am just really paranoid , I don't want to lose my teeth and **** up my mouth

Speaking of smoking....
There quite a few reasons for me loosing.... hm.... around 8 teeth alltogether.... smoking has been one of the major causes... it's a vicious circle...
Smoking causes sinus problems, sinus problems causes nerve problems..... I lately developed bruxemia .... slided my teeth for yeaaaarssss and finally got them damaged and pulled them out.........
The main issue is that sometimes I have problems eating.....
Implants would cost me roughly 10.000 euros... and can only have them done after the age of 30............
Wished I never smoked, lol
Other than the teeth I don't have any other oral problems from smoking.... hopefully not from snus either.

Yeah I would add your gums usually get a little sore when you first use snus and then it's fine, I know for dip it's like decades before you start to get real serious problems and snus is probably less, but it is different for every person, I have genetic problems (missing teeth, had jaw surgery etc.) so it's not exactly the best thing for me to use snus, apparently you have to stop for implants (because of the nicotine stops the implants from holding) so I'll try to stop using snus and probably use nasal snuff.

How many portions are you using a day? I noticed when I first quit smoking I was using 12-16 a day. All that fresh salt and baking soda does a number on your mouth. Once the cigarette cravings went away I cut back to about 8 portions a day. I find this way I enjoy every portion and my gums don't hurt.
I hope that helps I know you didn't say your gums hurt but thats what leads most people to post about oral problems. I know that was long and my thoughts arent very well organized but I just woke up and havent even had the nicotine kick in yet. Sorry
