    Dental Implants

I know a lot of you guys are from U.S ... I was wondering if anyone had teeth implants, because the prices seem a little steep everywhere ...... the cheapest you can get in Romania is 500 EURO's per implant but nothing to go after..... it's not a crown life-time implant ......... a proper implant goes to around 1000 EUROS.

Happens that I need ... hummm yeah smoking destroyed my teeth lol .......... around 8 implants alltogether (7 teeth missing altogether) ...... A doctor back here told me to do these implants after the age of 30 so there's still time to seek for a good dentist... I am kinda' afraid of the implants as well lol

While a basic dental implant is typically $1,250 to $3,000, depending on your circumstances additional costs for things such as in the case of a posterior mandible, bone regeneration, sinus elevation, and wide diameter or narrow diameter implants can quickly escalate the costs involved to as much as $15,000 to $30,000 for the complete procedure for the upper or lower jaw.

Interestingly, most people assume that dental implant treatment is more expensive than alternative methods of tooth replacement. In reality, dental implants are more cost effective other methods of tooth replacement. The basic reason for this cost differential is due to the fact that other treatments require extensive repairs, replacements, and procedures to preserve the integrity of facial structures and prevent additional tooth loss compared to dental implants.
a basic dental implant goes up to $3000 ? I am just checking .... because prices are a bit lower in Austria for example.

    :^)

This is why I'm scarred, don't watch if you're a bit weak watching surgery work

I'm not entirely sure of what procedure was done, but I worked with a lady who had extensive dental work done, having her top and bottom teeth replaced, it cost her around 18,000 I believe. it looked great afterwards. she had really soft teeth and they kept chopping away before she got her new smile.

Wow, thats nasty. Almost lost my stomach acid(haven't eaten in a while). I would seriously rather walk around completely toothless or have dentures than have that done to me. I gotta say though, I am soooooo glad that I quit smoking and chewing tobacco, I sure hope that snus won't cause any of these problems.

sadly smoking can make anyone loose all of his/her teeth... I know I lost 7 in 15 or so years lol ...

partially in my case it's from griding my teeth... but mostly from smoking and not taking a proper care....... :^)

I have two implants. I don't recall the price, but $3k each seems like less than what I paid about 6 years ago. They may tell you to quit smoking/dipping etc until the implants heal, and from what I have read some doctors will refuse to do the surgery or refuse to warrant the work if you do not comply. When I had mine done it wasn't an issue because I was not using nicotine at the time.

As big of a pain in the ass they can be keeping in place, I'll stick with my partial.

I've had some dental work out here. Richt now i am smoking cigs... they are cheap... they are everywhere... you can smoke in the restaurants...

So i was told that i couldn't have dental implants because i smoke (i had problems with teeth before snussing) so i asked if i could use snus and asked what it is and i said tobacco and he said no, i wouldn't be able to have implants. And he would rather earn some money by doing them...

They refused to do it because you smoked and used any form of tobacco? Bollocks to that!! Whilst they are healing I an understand not smoking but tell them to fook off and take your business elsewhere!
