One last thing. Is los made the same way portions are? I mean, is the tobacco the exact same stuff? As far as TSNA's, moisture content, nicotine etc.

Yes, the tobacco is the same...usually a tid bit more moist.

I was reading the Swedish Match site the other day and I came across a study. That study stated that with portions the chance of developing gum recession was a little over 2% with loose the chance of gum recession was "much higher" also users more often developed lesions on their gums with loose snus. The users with lesions could however switch to portions and those lesions would heal in 7-14 days.
I use both and I am not sure if I really care but it does feel like gum recession is more likely with Los.

Thanks Boost. Also, when I use portions I am VERY careful not to move it once it's in place. The only time it's moved after that is if I have to move it to make it more discreet, or when I'm taking it out.

At the end of the day I wouldn't worry about it too much. I use loose on the left side because 1. It hurts to use portions there somethimes. 2. There is a lot more room on that side for a big prilla. Why? I wondered that myself for about a second then I made the smoking motion and noticed that I always placed the cigarette half way between the middle of my lip and the far left corner. What I am saying is I already have some pretty significant gum recession and it's from smoking not snus. Plus I can control where snus goes smoke goes wherever it wants.

By the way good luck in the Navy my nephew went to MEPS tuesday he is going in as well.

Thank you. I'm not officially in the Navy yet, but I don't see what will stop me. Appointment with the recruiter is all set, and after that I take the ASVAB test then off to boot camp. I scored a 90% on the practice ASVAB so I'm not worried about that one bit.

I'm also taking my dad, since he was in the Navy for 20+ years. He can keep the recruiter in line if he tries to spew some BS at me haha.
