Yep, snus helped quit smoking :^)
and definitely healthier than cigarettes :^)
I haven't seen a thread where ex-smokers post their overall spendings on cigarettes. It's pretty interesting and hope this thread will influence and inspire many smokers to quit this filthy habit and actually taking a look at the financial issues with smoking apart from the "HEALTH"
I'll go first
Cigarettes 16 years x 356 days X 1 pack day x $5 = $29.200
Cigars - Used to buy them in bulk but haven't spent more than $250/year x 16 years = $4.000
Lighters/Zippos and Matches - $100/year - $1600 (I still have the lighters, lol, a collection of over 500 lighters)
Hookah - Gave up smoking hookah right after I bought it - $300
Pipe and Pipe Tobacco - $500 (gave up smoking piper right after I bought one)
Rolling tobacco - Spent quite a bit on rolling tobacco too - Roughly $500
NRT - Used NRT a couple of times to quit - $1000
Room Vaporizers and Aromatic Oil - $100/year - $1600
Grand Total - $40.600
I'm almost 27 (if I would be a smoker till i reach the age of 70 I would spend almost $150,000.) lool No WAYYYYYY - That's the cost of 3 apartments or a luxurious ferrari, lol
I would rather drive a ferrari at the age of 70 and be smoke-free.
Sorry for the rant but this "nice chick" last night offered me a cigarette and I was about to produce "THE DISASTER" looooool
