Snus and Alcohol

I have quite a bourbon collection. As a member of straightbourbon.com, a forum somewhat like this but instead of being on Snus, its on Bourbon, I have become a bourbon connoiseur. Well, being over fifty and having been in AA once for 8 years and another time for 5 years, inbetween I partook of the alcohol somewhat heavily.... though I don't believe so much that alcoholism is a disease... I actually can drink one or two now, whereas when I was younger, my first drink led to a lot more always. Even drinking a few though has tended to upset my sleep. Whats funny is that now that I snus, I lost my taste for alcohol. I sleep better.

You won't find any study that says snusing is as damaging to the body as overuse of alcohol. Congratulations on cutting back. Mind you, some alcohol can have benefits. Those who drink small amounts daily (a beer, glass of wine, shot of liquor) are better off than those who don't drink at all, and far better off than the drunks who drink to oblivion.
