I can say I had a very similar spot on the inside of my mouth BEFORE I ever tried snus that my dentist noticed. He said it was more than likely an area of "damage" caused by getting poked by a tortilla chip or something similar. I came back in a couple weeks for my kid's appt and he took a quick look at the spot...all gone
