    Quitting Snus (Daily Journey)

I've been going through a few major changes lately and I've had to be a lot more social and just can't use my favorite loose any longer ... there are quite a few other reasons of why I am quitting (money is another reason yep) it just isnt a cheap habit... and I've already paid through the nose loool

I pay double as much as I would pay on cigarettes ... monthly

I will still keep posting here lool even though I wont be using snus any longer... maybe I will have the ocassional "weekend prilla"

Wow! Snus must be expensive in Romania. I used to spend $100+ on smoking per week, whereas using Snus at 6 or 7 Sterk's a day costs me about $10 per week, including shipping.

snus costs me around $10 per can and a can lasts me two or three days on normal basis ... but most of the time as a snuser I have used a can every two days which ends up to be $150 per month which is almost double as I paid for cigarettes ...

cigarettes are around $90 mark for the highest priced brands I used to pay more but anyway I am smoke free loool

money isnt the main reason to quit but snusing isnt socially accepted at least not here in Romania

Whereas snusing just on weekeds is more doable

So you actually care what other people think about snus?

i dont... ive said it before...

          but sometimes its not accepted...

in romania people are not very open minded due to the communism

im also looking to feel more energic .. Even though i do a lot of jogging, swimming and biking i still feel quite tired and lethargic when snusing ... And ive had enough lool ...

I can say that i feel more tired sometimes than when i used to smoke.. Not joking

Good luck! If its what you want to do then I hope you do it! I tried and made it 3 weeks. I had to use Zyban and it sucked. Even on Zyban it was hard. I really didn't want to quit. So I started snusing again. Quitting for yourself is cool. For other people or " society " it sucks bad!
              Good luck to you!

                Good luck!

Stay away from starks to keep from feeling tired. For your "weekend snus" use a small pris of something regular strength.

Good luck to you dude. Keep us posted on your progress and stay away from threads talking about brands you like or new snus. Plenty of non-snus related stuff here to keep you engaged

thanks for wishing me luck guays

true enough the withdrawal from snus sucks balls ... i am basically feeling depressed and empty minded and its only 12 hours ... not to mention the headache and all

i will keep posting along the process

                    @lx

ill probably stick with my favorite brands on weekends ; odens, skruf, ettan, offroad and phantom

yep im not sure if i will be able to tolerate large prilas any longer after all the nicotine exits my body so i will have tiny ones

Precious... Didn't you say recently you had over 200 cans in your freezer? So why not just start rationing more, to save on money?

If that's not how you want to go, then Good Luck. I wish you the best.

yes i did ... i still have almost 200 cans in the frezeer ... i dont get what you mean by rationing?

i considered finishing these cans but since i dont stay home (work from home) all day long ... i cant consume loose any more ... and nope money is not the main reason

Thats great Precious makes me sad though dunno why lol but it is a positive thing for you cost wise so I'm happy for you. People notice when you snus? I've talked to my manager on many occasions with a normal portion without even hesitation. Nobody can tell ar my workplace if they did they would make me stop. My wife cant tell when I have los in alot of times. She offers me food not realizing I just put a pris in. I support you though 100 percent. Since you haven't been posting much here I've been picturing you shaking it up at Romain discotheques lol.

Weekend snusing is a very bad idea. When you quit tobacco, the nicotine have to get of of the system completely, and you have to replace your old habits with newer habits to stay off it. If you use snus on weekends, your body will surely remember how lovely nicotine is and give you the withdrawal symptoms for a period of time once again. The weekend snus will taste fantastic as well after a weeks break. And before you know it, excusing thoughts will come up like never before, and you are back snusing.

Another tip is, be very aware about the magical 3's:

                              3 days
                              3 weeks
                              3 months
                              3 years

Around this dates is when the craving can (and 80-90% often will) get more intense. Be on guard for these attacks and be sure to never use a snus ever again once the thoughts and craving symptoms come. Don't make any excuses (if you really 100% want to quit and stay free), just stay on coarse.

                              Good luck!
