    Northerner Wintergreen Purified Snus

    Hi,

Today I've received my delivery (40 cans of purified Northerner Wintergreen). This is the first time I've got cans labelled in English - assume for the US market. Have to admit that I was pretty surprised when I read the Warnings on the cans:

    - This product can cause mouth cancer
    - This product can cause gum disease and tooth loss
    - This product is not a safe alternative to smoking
    - This product is not a safe alternative to cigarettes.

The first time nothing about Purified tobacco, low level of nitrosamines - all nice things we used to hear about purified snus, so is anyone please able to advise:

    1. Is this snus different by any means from the old Wintergreen (made for European market)
    2. Have any new evidences/ medical research emerged indicating such a harmful consequences of using purified snus (Mouth Cancer!!!!)

Please get back to me as it worries me a lot. I've developed some minor condition in the mouth (whitish colour of the gums next to the cheek at the left lower jaw, far away from the upper lift when the portion is). My dentist advised nothing serious will be sorted on it own - stress probably. I'm using Swedish snus for 5 years (ex smoker) and tried all sorts of nicotine replacemnt therapies without success.

    Thank you.

The labels are standard for the US.. It is an across the board warning that has nothing to do with manufacturing which is the same as always I imagine...

Gotta thank the FDA for that. It is a real shame that they have to cover our beloved snus cans with warnings that are entirely lies. Except for the one that says smokeless tobacco is addictive, pretty obvious I think, but I don't mind that one. Welcome to Snuson!!

The fact that our selection of snus has been cut in half is enough of a ban for me.
