Smokers lung vs 'Healthy lung'

It's a terrible representation of the facts. The lung on the left obviously has a tumour and therefore obviously will not inflate as much as the healthy lung. My bet is that if they had a smokers lung sans tumour, they would inflate just as well as the non-smokers lung.

The ironic thing about this video is that the healthy persons lung ended up in a bucket too.

Yeah - I've seen that one before. Very sad.
But remember, the statistics aren't as bad as they'd have you believe - they're still pretty bad though. 10 in every 100 people who smoke get lung cancer - the other 90 won't. 2 in every 100 people who have never smoked get lung cancer.

It's a horrific disease - my aunt died at 55 from it. Dreadful.

Let's not forget the asbestos in buildings all around us including schools which we were brought up in can cause lung cancer.

Back when I was a kid I have faded memories of corridors being blocked off at school while guys in masks were walking around.

Asbestos is safe so long as it is not disturbed.

The WTC collapse wasn't a good thing in this respect.
