I think electronic cigarettes will be massive, and will end up being regulated. They are already selling them in tesco. This can only be a good thing for snus IMO.
Christ! I didn't know that. That's a good move.
Must have a look out for them.
That's interesting. I thought E-Cigs heated tobacco to produce a vapour but these seem to just heat a nicotone solution and maybe contain some kind of tobacco flavour or something? I wonder whether this product leans towards a more palatable pharma NRT solution?
Edit - Just been doing some reading and it appears E-Cigs have always worked this way, a tobacco flavoured nicotine mist. That lends to the question whether they would have the same effect as tobacco products if they don't contain MAOIs etc? I know I find the effect or NRT (pure nicotine) totally different to nicotine aquired through tobacco.
I did ask in the local Tesco 6 months ago after hearing they stocked them but they didn't have it in store despite it being an Extra. Haven't tried asking again recently.
I managed to find one at the time Tescos didn't stock them in my local tobaconist. Funnily enough the tobbaconist had given up smoking and uses an e-cig. He gets on with it fine. But they don't really do it for me. I think i need the MAOIs in tobacco just as much as the nicotine to function as a normal human being!
I came off cigarettes on to the Nicorette inhaler once. The withdrawal was dreadful. It couldn't have been nicotine withdrawal because I was firing tonnes of it into me. When I quit with snus - it was like falling off a log - didn't notice a thing.

Hi Frosted, i can't give you a definitive answer myself as i am no scientist but take a look at this Wiki link - there are MAOIs in tobacco apparently which i don't believe you will find in the nicotine replacement products. My story was the same (the switch to snus compared to the switch to NRT)
Bit pricey at £5.99 for the equivalent of 30 cigs (so they say). I'd go through one of those a day.
That is pricey, and not where to buy an ecig. I was a 'vaper' last year for a few months, and ended up making my own e-juice with concentrated nicotine, DIY flavours and glycerine from the chemist with demonised water from the garage. I went into 'mods' eventually (lol, vaping jargon - modified ecigs that look like bloody big things) It's NOTHING like the inhalator lol, it's really like smoking if you get the right kit. Your best bet is to get the tornado/ego, and a good passthrough like the Garry dibley 5v.
The BEST place to get the kit at a decent price is Liberty Flights and this seems to be a British thread so I'll post UK Vapers Forum, the best place to learn about vaping in the uk.
