Snus and the doctor

What are doctors and dentist in the US saying about the use of sadism snus and if it causes mouth cancer. I found a study done in 2008 that suggest snus can cause oral cancer does anyone know anything about this and if it has any truth behind it?

Hmmm! Never heard of that brand... sadism snus, Must be an American snus, Cause Swedish snus does not cause mouth cancer, your teeth to rot or fall out, your mouth to fall off.... The USA FDA would have you believe otherwise, But they are all lies with no basis of proof behind it...

My husband has hyperplasia and chronic inflammation in his cheek from using Copenhagen for the past 15 years. He quit for a few months then hr started using snus. He hasn't told hid dentist of doctor yet about starting the snus. I got online and asked done doctors and they all said tobacco is bad and snus could cause the former lesion in his mouth , which has since healed, to become mouth cancer. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?I have researched snus and I know it has risk but if doesn't seem like mouth cancer is one of the risk. I just would like to know why the doctors would say this and where there evidence is coming from?

I'm no docotor...but there is absolutely ZERO evidence of mouth cancer occurring from snus use. If your doctor says otherwise I can only guess its because he doesn't know enough about snus. Snus is uncommon in U.S. and all U.S. tobacco is carcinogenic so I do understand this conclusion from doctors that snus causes cancer but there is simply no data to suggest anything of the sort. His lesion may come back but you and your husband shouldn't worry about it turning cancerous because that just doesn't happen from snus. Ramen noodles and hot dogs are far more carcinogenic than snus could ever be

What I would like to know is since he has hyperplasia in hi mouth which is benign would snus cause more irritation causing this I become pre cancer. I understand snus doesn't cause oral cancer but could it affect a previous lession from American snuff? All the doctors here are so anti tobacco you can't get a straight answer to save your life. Please no rude comments.

It would seem to me that you are going to keep asking and searching until you get the bad news you want to try and force your husband to stop using snus as well..... Many here have told you that snus is safe, But you seem to want to keep looking for it to be unsafe...
