Leukoplakia?

I have two areas on my gums below both lower eye teeth. They are white and slightly raised with a harder surface than the gums. They are small, maybe 1/4" by 1/8". No pain, happened to notice them when I pulled my lip back, no idea how long they have been there. I never put snus there but that area does collect the "juice". I had a habit of going to sleep with a portion in, stopped that. From what I have read it sounds like luekoplakia.

Thoughts?

I see my periodontist the 28th, yup more gum work for recession, hereditary.......

Hope all is well, most likely nothing. Ive had minor irritations on my snusing area, but nothing painful or long lasting. More like redness on the gums than usual after a few days of powere snusing.
Let us know what your periodontist says about it. Keep us posted please.

Met with the periodonist today. Not only was I wrong but good news on two fronts. First, it was not leukoplakia, just areas that he did a graft on a year ago, he forgot to tell me that they will look like this. Second, my gums look good, no further recession!

Of course he did his annual, let's check for oral cancer, check & didn't find anything. The hygenist that cleaned my teeth congratulated me on quitting smoking two years ago & commented on the tobacco staining (haven't had teeth cleaned in two years). Told her of snus and she said, smoking tobacco is the danger, not snus. Will be going for cleanings twice per year now.

Snus on!
