Article on snus in schools

I was google-ing snus and found an article ( sorry cant find the thread again ) that was posted in minnesota about kids using camel snus.

I DO NOT THINK MINORS SHOULD BE USING ANY TOBACCO PRODUCT

but what ticked me off was reading what was put in that article. Snus causes cancer of esophagus, stomach , pancrease and is not a safe alternative to cigs. It kept going on and on.

I skipped to the comments section and there were 3 comments. 2 from snus users who provided links to research pages nullifying most if not all of the bad health claims. What really suprised me was a non-snus user who was mad because this paper had not done their research on the health hazards and bashed them for using slander in the article.

Now i understand the full health spectrum has not been explored and each side is going to find ways to publish different claims and so on but was nice to read the comments telling anit-tobacco nazis to do some homework.

I agree that minors should not be using tobacco products, however I was one of those kids who would sneak off and have a cigarette between classes. This was the beginning of a 15 year relationship with cigarettes which gave me chronic bronchitis and many mornings hacking and coughing. Methinks the exact same kids that would get in to the smoking habit would be the same ones trying snus.
