Nicotine patch claims up in smoke

I have friends who were using the gum for a 2-4 years and then finally left nicotine. NRT should be advised to use for as long as you need it because a relapse is much worse. 3-6 weeks is a joke when you are dealing with a lifelong addiction. It is not just the nicotine jitters but the social and psychological addiction which needs to be addresed for many people.

it takes anywhere between 3 - 6 months
they even mention it on the nicotine gum packs.

A good friend who was lifelong dipper and heavy smoker quit the smokes by upping his dip usage. On his birthday a couple of weeks ago I offered him a can of THunder Frosted los and he refused saying he has been tobacco free for a month. He is using the nicotine gum.
I have never tried a piece of nicotine gum in my life. Pretty much went straight from Smokes to Snus on my first attempt of a serious quit. Maybe gum is a option in leaving snus??
but SNUS is so flipping awesome.

I'd like to see the numbers published in the media,of people who have been successful quitting cigarettes by using Snus,in comparison with N.R.T products.
I'll bet Big Pharmacy would love that.
I call N.R.T. a scam, because it creates billions of dollars in profits but has a pathetic success rate.

I tried both the patch and the gum when I smoked. Neither of them worked for me. I think it's the tobacco alkaloids in snus that make it work so well. Nic alone does not cut it... at least for me.
I've been fooling around with ecigs as of late... and they don't work for me either. In fact, I only use zero nic juices... I like the taste of some of the juices. For me at least, the bottom line is snus. It's the only thing that was able to get me off a 30+ year pack a day habit. If you have any problems with my posts or signature

Anyone remember that SM gum a couple of years back...Firebreak was it?? Anyway..I really wish that were still available, I seem to recall it having bits of real tobacco in it?? The flavor was pleasant but it didn't become a part of my habit because I enjoyed snus too much. Chewing regular gum with a Northerner Boost mini works too..drunken accident..realized when I spit my brown gum out
