Vodka socks. I had some fever earlier this week, fever wen down but still bit ill...

Just put some socks into the vodka, take them out, make sure they're not dripping wet but little moist, and put the socks on.

It's an ancient Estonian method, tested throughout the centuries, works every time.

And ofc you can lubricate your throat with bit of vodka aswell..

We Poles make a soup called Borcht...the white kind made from soured rye. The vodka socks reminded me of that 'cos when the bread is fermenting it kinda smells like dirty socks. Don't think either will help with your fever. Isopropyl all over you might but rather uncomfortable.

You might want to leave them on over night. I know it's strange to sleep with socks on but I bet you feel much better in the morning

I don't generally do anything. I sleep in the bath tub for a couple of days, and it's gone. I haven't been sick in a long time though.

Not sure how you're getting the antibiotics, but they're bad news. Use them as a last ditch effort to get better, and do it right. If you don't take them for the duration, you build hardier germs, and that's bad for all of us.

I've said that I take antibiotics

get a full massage with vinegar on my body and drink hot tea with lemon.

Now I'm trying the vodka method - the fever is gone though and I got some fervex as well.

Wait, why would you take an antibiotic, lather yourself in vinegar, and then drink hot tea to reduce your fever? Have you tried taking just taking some ibuprofen?

And whatever the "Vodka" method is, I don't think drinking while you have a fever is going to result in a great outcome. lol, or maybe it will result in an awesome outcome, who knows.

Two shots of whiskey or Jagermeister and a long sleep......oh wait that'd be the flu.

Advil liquid gels....follow directions......drink lots of water as well.

Lx, when you have a fever you sleep in the bathtub? May I assume that you draw a bath first, or are we talkin' dry? And in either case, why?

Kevin, my girl asked me today: why are you googling vodka socks??

Precious: Antibiotics don't kill viruses, they kill bacteria. 'Nuff said.

What ever happened to the tried and true Tylenol? See my first answer. I don't beat off to Western medicine, but I do believe that acetaminophen and ibuprofen are two very simple and widely available methods of fever reduction.

And Kevin again... I wear socks when I sleep every night. Hell I wear socks ... all the time.

In any case, y'all are weird.
