Kevin, my girl asked me today: why are you googling vodka socks??
Precious: Antibiotics don't kill viruses, they kill bacteria. 'Nuff said.
What ever happened to the tried and true Tylenol? See my first answer. I don't beat off to Western medicine, but I do believe that acetaminophen and ibuprofen are two very simple and widely available methods of fever reduction.
And Kevin again... I wear socks when I sleep every night. Hell I wear socks ... all the time.
In any case, y'all are weird.
I'll try ibuprofen if the fever starts again though and see how it goes.
So far the vinegar and vodka socks worked very well
Along with a full body massage with either vinegar or vodka.

Just an FYI that taking antibiotics every time you feel sick is going to destroy the healthy bacteria in your stomach. There is recent research that shows that even occasional exposure to mild antibiotics can seriously (and permanently) damage your gut. I wouldn't take them unless a Dr has identified your sickness as bacterial in nature.
As for the Vodka socks, lathering yourself in vinegar and sleeping in bathtubs, Lol @ all of you. Whatever works I guess.

at 40 C - 41 C you're already in danger and probably hallucinating

so I've been having the flu ever since I published this thread - is it normal? has anyone had the flu for almost 4 weeks?
I remember having fever when I was a child for one month daily - but never since then -
I am starting to believe that this is a nasty influenza - I never had it so bad -
Antibiotics are pretty much useless if it's a virus (they only kill the bacteria) so what to do then?
I'm kinda getting worried by now because almost everyone I know has the flu this year (almost everyone) and I believe we're dealing with a nasty virus in this area ....
