    The bodily fitness is good to have and to look smart is natural desire of every one so i hope the people should have a good time in gym and they cover their fitness and make good struggle to shape their body

      I have the opposite problem of everyone else. It is HELL for me to gain weight. In addition to that, I LOVE cardio, cuz it gets me HIGH.

      I started 4 years ago at age 43, trying to ditch a slight belly. Having been a beanpole all of my life, any amount of fat, including a slight belly, was NOT acceptable. I went overboard, doing Atkins induction for 4-5 months, which means I ate no more than 20 grams of carbs a day during that time. I lost weight alright. I got down to 173 lbs on a 6' 2" frame, and a 12.5% body fat percentage, which frankly, made me look sick. It would take three years after that point to FINALLY hit 200 pounds again.

      I am loving my shape now, except, even though I am over 200 lbs, I still look like a beanpole. My shoulders are broad, and my legs are still slim. I mean everything is tight and toned, but I want to be BIG, but don't have the genetics for it. I am built more like the Africans who do track, even though I am white.

      I eat only complex carbs and never simple. I stick mostly with poultry for lean protein, using fresh veggies. I cook with olive oil only and have a tendency to use lots of it to keep calories up. I hit peanut butter on whole wheat late nite, because if I don't, I will never sleep. I do cardio every other day, running two miles at 6 mph, although I am trying to up my speed. I also go up and down a local mountain once a week. I lift weights, on machines mostly on the alternate days. I have two leg machines maxed out, which sucks, because I still have slim legs. You'd think if I can lift 295 pounds for 50 reps I would have beefy legs, but that's not how it works. Anyway, I keep at it because I will be 50 in two years and hope to be in even better shape by then.

      Oh, I NEVER step foot in the gym or do the mountain without a fresh hit of snus.

        Only so much you can do as you have an uphill battle with genetics on that muscular goal but the best way to build size is to up the weight and lower the reps. Based on what you have said so far you probably already know that and frankly I think you are ahead of the game on most here, including myself at 15 years my senior.

          Fitness have own importance in our life.So we should be take care of the fitness and health.According
          to me that we should be eating healthy and energetic foods for health and fitness.I like these things for keep
          fitness...
          1 Vegetarian foods
          2 fresh fruits
          3 Energy drinks
          4 Milk shake.

            You're the same as me. When I left the Army my fighting weight was 10.5 stone - I'm now 12.5. If I ever do excercise I lose weight rapidly no matter what I eat.
            I spent a year in a gym trying to get big - did all the right things - all that happened was I got stronger with no weight gain. I suppose we should count ourselves lucky that we can eat what we want and we're as lithe as a greyhound. It's certainly handy now that I've got kids because I can run around all day.

                I am not sure if I agree or disagree with this post but I am sure it is one or the other.

                  I love to do my gym exercise,i m quite health conscious so i m very agree with the statement of"The gym is the only thing keeping me alive. Good for you, lots of fruits is a great way to go along with hummus. 3 years now of snus and exercise after open heart surgery. If I can do it , anybody can. And enjoy that healthy feeling, it is your reward!"

                    Its all about fitness and physical exercise which we should do on regularly basis.On the other hand diet also plays a vital role in our health issues.Strength training also helps maintain bone strength. It is a simple fact that any successful and balanced workout routine needs strength training and HIT for those who can safely do it leads to the most efficient results.

                      I practice shaolin qigong (meditation) for half an hour a day, and I follow a ketogenic diet (one high in fat, low in carbs, that emulates the type of diet we had in palaeolithic times, before the advent of agriculture and grains). I'd recommend both.

                        In Slovenia most of snus users workout, most of them are profesional athlets. Whithout my workout there is no me. SPORT IS LIFE!

                          I have started to do a lot of surfing when there are waves. One session can easily last for 6 hours straight. I usually take a break after three hours, have an ice cream, a cup of coffee, and a strong snus, and go back out again. It rocks. Best "sport" I've ever took up. A shame the water is so damn cold in Sweden... (I think I have to move abroad!)

                            You should try whitewater paddling. Dunno about Sweden, but Norway has some stellar rivers. You can surf all day long, and never lose sight of your car :^)

                              Crikey - I watched the surfers off the west coast of Ireland and thought "brrrrrrrr f*ck that." Swedish surfing must be literally cryogenic.

                                That's an interesting dietetic approach, had not heard of it. Mine is just about opposite, vegan with high carbs and low fat. How long have you been following this diet?

                                I do cardio and weights regularly, probably 5 days a week, never felt better.
