    A cancer question.

So i was watching a movie the other day and decided to have some General lös, fortunatly i had just about enough to fill up my 3ml modded syringe, Usually i don't completely fill it because i find it rather uncomfortable but it's expiration date had allready hit and i decided not to have anything go to waste. The next day i decided to Dip some icelandic neftóbak. I put it in the same place as where i put that abnormaly big(for me, again, comfort reasons.) prilla of general lös and i got this pulse, heaty pain feeling after a while it went away but the following night I felt kinda wierd in my gum,
a bit of pain if i touched the area from the outside.
So i decided to have a looksy, What i found was 2 small round white sores, and on every website i've been on they say that canker sores have red borders around them, These two don't, atleast i can't see any. And last month i actually had a canker sore which by the way had red borders.
    So in conclusion:
    - 2 small round white sores above my teeth on the gums.
    - Painfull to touch, just a bit. The more force i use the more painfull it is.
    - It kinda feels like a very small bump, Just a bit higher from the gum, but when i look in the mirror it looks like a round sore that goes kinda downwards, a hole maybe. very shallow one that is.
    - May have started/appeared after I had an unusually big prilla.

I'm a bit scared this might be something serious. Any thoughts?

    - I'm sorry for such a long post, and my bad english.

People get that sometimes, usually from the high salt content of snus. Everyone who has gone to the doctor was told it was not cancer. It's just a gum sore of some variety (most likely). In other words, it's not entirely uncommon to get sores like the ones you described from snusing due to it's salt content, I wouldn't worry about it to much. It should go away on it's own in a few weeks. Dont exacerbate it by snusing on that side for a while.

No problem man. Maybe others will chime in but i've seen a few posts just like yours over time. It seems rare but apparently it happens. The running theory at the moment is that having all that salt rubbing up against your gums 24/7 is probably irritating it. Once users move the snus to the other side of the mouth for a week or so it goes away. I imagine that is what will happen with you too. If you really think it's cancer you can go to your doctor (or maybe even dentist since it's your gums), but they are probably going to say "nah it's just a mouth sore".

I think user snusjuice had one of these at some point, maybe it was someone else though. Hopefully they will chime in here at some point.

Makes sense, if the sores persist/don't leave? I'll have it checked.
          Again thanks alot.

Swedish Match snus is kind of hard on my mouth. If I overdo it, I'll end up with sore spots. I don't know what they look like, as I've never looked, but they hurt. Try to change where you put the snus to minimize the damage. It won't do deadly harm to you, but it does aggravate the gums, and when your gums are unhappy, you're unhappy :^)

I am a switch hitter when it comes to snus. One time to the left, one time to the right.

Nothing else to add, everyone else got it

I'm not sure if you've got this in Iceland or not, but this product called OraJel is like an oral analgesic, and if you rub it on the sores it will relieve the pain for a decent amount of time each application. I get canker sores periodically because I love citrus fruits, and the acid tears up my lips/gums after a while, so I use the Orajel to relieve that annoying pain. If you don't have that brand you can look up the active ingredient in it and probably find something similar.

                    Thanks for the tip CowWhisperer!
I'll have a look in the local pharmacy tomorrow morning and see if they have any OraJel, or something similar.

When i first started snusin I had some of those and then my mouth got used to it and they stopped showing up. Then i had to use dip for a while as i ran out of snus and didnt have a place to ship it (have to be 21 in the states to sign for it for some reason) after i got a big order in my mouth did some weird things again. no sores but it was extremely dried out there was even some spots in my upper lip where i could feel some skin off. I remembered the same thing happened when i ate an entire bag of salt and vinegar chips.

That much salt in your mouth will mess it up for a while but you'll get used to it. As others have said, very unlikely its anything but if it persists go get it checked out.

On a side note I recently went to the dentist and he told me he could tell I had not dipped in a while.....looked at my top gums too and didnt say a word.......this snus stuff is magic.

I had similar sores on my lower lip from dipping -

they usually go away, try to switch sides every once in a while.

It sounds like a sore to me, nothing serious.

If it's spreading or if it's still there after a couple of weeks, I would have it checked out immediately.
