Sounds like possibly the beginning stages of Trigeminal Neuralgia
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I heard of a guy that had that. He didn't seek help quickly enough and it became permanent. I used to work as a medic so got to see some of these things.
I'd do a bit of research on this Precious and see your doctor. Anything that is facial like that is likely to be neurological.

Yah my uncle got Bells Palsy recently from stress. Kinda froze his face in a weird expression. It goes away though. Not sure about the mough being stiff though, not sure if it's the snus or maybe just from the clenching?

Going to check in with a doctor if it happens again (mainly because I do have quite a few neurological symptoms, but nothing as this one, yep facial stiffness to the point where you cannot spit properly has something to do with the cranial nerves) I believe that snus has somehow contributed.

When I was first out on Haloperidol, and antipsychotic for the treatment of schizophrenia, I developed 'tardive dyskinesia'. It was horrible, I couldn't control my jaw or tongue muscles, swallow and I couldn't walk. When an ambulance came to pick me up the paramedic got quite tickled by the fact that I had turned into the Jack Nicholsen in Batman, and had a fullon Cheshire cat smile for the duration of the trip. When in hospital I was administered procyclidine, an antiparkinsonion

The scariest part was that I knew this condition can be irreversible. You canimagine how terrified in the ambulance at this thought. Thankfully for me it wasn't, although people might think otherwise - as I smile a lot these days.

Two portions at once??? There is some hope, maybe you do not have another disease...Perhaps it is simply just TMJ or a Temporomandibular disorder??? It hits me occassionally and it is very unnerving and uncomfortable for a while...it can happen when I simply open my mouth to put a portion in..it comes and goes.

Vulpes, I'm with you on that one. Some medication can have dramatic effects on some people.

Lyme disease smacks you from all angles. It eats up your nervous system, bones, heart and other organs if not treated. (not necessarily) Some people live with the borrelia bacteria all their life and don't even know it, however in some cases people are basically bed ridden with pains from head to toe, multiple sclerosis symptoms, paresthesias, paralysis and much more. I am doing pretty well compared to other, waiting now to do some confirmation tests in Bucharest and get hooked on a treatment (pretty scarred but have no choice really)

If you want to read more on lyme disease (it's quite controversial), the medical field doesn't recognize the chronic forms of Lyme disease, not even in the States, because of financial interest. You can visit http://www.lyme.ws/ (there's a lot of great content on the site -
