It sure as hell still doesn't document where anyone who used snus got Liver cancer or pancreatic cancer.... show me where in that blog where it states that cases where proven that somone had Liver cancer or pancreatic cancer from swedish snus and not american snus..... All I see in that are about risks... Not one substantiated case.... I ask again! Where is the case that says someone that uses swedish snus EVER got these cancers?

Never said it did. It was more for informative purposed since this topic comes up now and again. Quickly found with a google search. I was going to say that I don't recall any liver specific cancer wording in any of the studies, but after reading a few, they do mention it deep in them.

Here is an article for everyone that spells out what the anti-tobacco people do:

C'mon guys. Snus is a tobacco product. It is not 100% safe. In processing the tobacco for snus, it does greatly reduce the cancer causing TSNA's, making it a reduced harm tobacco product. You can look at studies and different perspectives on those studies, but from what I've read, most are biased one way or the other. Either it is an anti-tobacco group, funded by a snus company, or someone with an agenda. It's great that snus has helped many get off of more dangerous tobacco habits, but it not 100% safe.

Thanks for your help guys, pretty much confirmed what I knew already. Of course, no tobacco product is foolproof and 100% harmless, but needless to say I feel pretty safe with the snus. I have been snusing on and off for about a year now, and have yet to have any ill effects.

I think most consider it "safe enough", and therefore treat it as being 100% safe, though nothing in life is 100% safe. I'll put it this way, I'd prefer my daughter told me she was starting a snus habit rather than eat at McDonalds once a day. My concern with anyone starting snus(or any tobacco) is you become a slave to the corporations and the government, and my primary concern is with the government. A free market would take care of the corporations. Health? there's much worse things people regularly do, and something like snus is barely a blip on the radar.

Actually with the Alzheimer-reducing effects of Nicotine, and the near zero cancer chances of snus use - It's almost a healthy thing... Just saying.

Hey, Jagmans, it's hard to tell the exact cause of cancer and here's why -

A person that has been using snus for his entire life (maybe decades) has been probably eating junk food and drank tons of alcohol (that besides snus)

How can you actually tell that snus has been causing the pancreatic cancer? We can't. It's just an assumption. Pancreatic cancer can be induced by high levels of toxic substances in someones body.... what if that person was working in a mine and snusing all day? I bet in that case the high toxicity level was a high "contributor" to the pancreatic cancer and not snus........

Oncologists also make assumptions, I bet.

Cancer is a billion dollar business, the main problem is patients with cancer is a highly malfunctioning immune system - I'm not saying tobacco smoke especially and alcohol does not contribute to certain cancers, but it's about the immune system and the predisposition more than anything..... when it comes to cancer.

                                Here's quite an extensive study..

                                http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17498797

The numbers are still very low.
