If you're serious about quitting, toss it and quit. Smoking those cigarettes and using 40 portions isn't going to make it easier.

I would toss the cigs immediately and ween off of the portions by use as needed, maybe three a day for a few days, then two a day, one a day, something like that.

          Well I still had supplies.
And today bought 2 packs of american spirits.
But tonight decided to not get back into smoking. I threw away my snus. And the cigarette tobacco.

Im going to give it a month before I decide if I want to go back.

One craving not satisfied at a time until I do not have physical cravings anymore. The mental philisophical cravings is what are hard.. but whatever. I can post my updates if Im not brain dead. Ha

I already broke down and got more cigs. Ill be too busy to smoke all the time. Not sure if ill go back to snus.

Snus isnt as easy to get and i dont think many people snus at the new place i live.. so i guess ive been feeling kinda different don't
fit in as easily. I just dont want to go back to smoking constantly. Maybe bring it to 5 a day. Suposse ill go through some snus withdrawal.

I also am getting an ecig.

I may try again once my nicotine usage drops. I havr no idea and my thread is pointless. But i suppose not completely as im probably quitting snus.

I like snus but sometimes i feel like its not what i need. Other times, its nice.

You know with the ecig, the lady at the store told me that nicotine can be reduced gradually over time. It might be worth looking into. I have also heard that there is a snus with variable nicotine levels but I don't know where you can get it.

Thanks govegan. I once was a raw foodist and like the vegan ideology a lot..factory farms and the like.

I actually just made another stop and got some camel snus (all they carry).

Thats the thing about snus. No smoke.

And thats important because I was attempting to smoke on my patio and some girl had to go out of her way that she was "offended" by the smoke. Its so ridiculous some lady.

                  Couple doors down..

She'll go into these ridiculous coughing fits..

Anyways point being i cant even enjoy a cig when someone does that makes me mad.

                  Ill stop typing.

Yes im getting an ecig. Cool

Hey SnuserSnuffer if i could offer some unsolicited advice.

I am 54 days of cigarettes now and i replaced this with 6 pieces of snus a day - for now.

Here is how i did it. I bought a copy of Allen Carrs Book 'the Only way to stop smoking permanently'

I absorbed what he wrote and then totally dismissed it as crap :P

I read the book again and thought how right he is.

I then dismissed it as 'too hard basket'

So then i got snus and for a few months i did both - snus and a few smokes and thought to myself - this is totally nuts.

I threw the cigs. No matter what i felt, i just did not put one too my mouth. No matter what i felt. And i kept remembering everything Allen Carr had said and slowly this took over my thinking.

Things got easier with each day and at this moment i am 54 days down the line and i really would not put a smoke to my mouth now.
I have my 6 pieces of snus. My breathin is so much better and i have been a smoker for 39 years.

I really recommend Allen Carrs book

Im actually in the throes of quitting snus. Ive only had 3 canels this morning plus 1 extra one mid day.

I just had a HUGE craving and i hope I can survive the night w/o.

If things fail Ill simply figure out how much I use and then slowly cut back. But Im trying the cold turkey, except for the morning.

I have been puffing on my ecig but thats pretty weak although I do have the WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) juice. Which actually got rid of my cig cravings.

I just want to quit. Then come back to it later possibly.

Its not hard. I managed that night with no more snus. Then I resumed my normal snus routine for two days and today after this morning decided to take a break again. Things were MUCH easier today than last time. However I had two cigs and puffin on my WTA ecig but that aint nothin don think.

I had 3 snus in from the morning and had them in for over ten hours. So the day is not yet over.

I find its easier "quitting" snus than quitting cigs when your a regular smoker but there still is that "lacking" feeling.

I stopped quitting but I guess Ive still cut down. Im actually trying to quit another pharmaceutical instead so that is more important than quitting snus right now.

Maybe down the line Ill try quitting again. Not like anyone is reading this?

I guess I am indeed going to quit snus. 3 in the morning. Then 2. Then 1. Or until I run out of my current stash. I want to stay away for at least a few years. Sorry to everyone who likes it. I just think its stressing me out overall.

didn't you just start another thread about smoking too much and wanting to snus more. I don't know man you've been having this one way conversation with yourself for over a year now. I really think for some reason you are really over thinking the whole deal. Did you ever think you might have lyme disease? There have been others who act like you on here who were pretty sure it was lyme disease exacerbated by tobacco that was causing all their problems. This could be what your experiencing.
