Oh man i have depression too... And think about snus ... But after some bad things that happens i was in bad moon. Now i just sit in home and only think about
My ex girlfriend, and what to do about it. This sitting in home makes me smoking one after another, and now i dont feel pleasure from anything. But when i tried to switch after few hours i started thinking "wtf is going on, where is my sense of life, my cigarette ?!?!" You also had something like this ? Like in too weak now with depression to get a big challenge to give up killer sticks

Idk. I now use 4 snuses during the day and smoke at night.

Youll get over your exgf. Been there many times!

        Best of luck.

When i used to snus 100% for a year i would definitely sleep with snus in.

          Its just different now.

Smoking can turn around depressive states in me.

I have a hard time not smoking at night. I just get over stressed by my neighbors slamming doors etc. During the day i just snus and get out a lot. But at night i dont want to get out anymore. If i snus idk. I cant seem to relax. 2 days ago i snused all day. But then yesterday maybe to make up for being stressed out i started smoking after 2, stayed home at that point, and even drank beer at 2.

It helped. I have some f'in bad issues, sometimes. For instance, i cannot stand the presence of my neighbors below me.

Anyways im trying to drink green smoothies. I eat fish.

          Sigh

I think this is a really good all around article on depression http://chriskresser.com/depression . Until someone has a bout of depression they really can't speak to it. I have had one and although it seems silly now I was really at my ropes end. I came through it and changed my diet, exercise at lease once a week following Body by Science. Takes a whopping 20 minutes once a week but I can feel the benefits and I increased my strength greatly. Also, www.perfecthealthdiet.com has a great supplement list. Make sure you are getting these vitamins/minerals/fats either thru diet or supplementation.

Rick, I enjoy smoking as well but I snus about 98% now. When I smoke it isn't long before my chest, throat and sinus's are on the decline and the smell, well frankly hate it and my kids are human smell detectors, so it is frankly embarrassing to be around them after I sneak a smoke. Just not worth it.

Just a few thoughts, whatever it is that causes your depression (there might be a multitude of factors) drugs will only mask the symptoms, they're not a cure. I've dealt with anxiety mostly but depression too for about ten years now. Depression comes and goes...

Smoking makes me more depressed ..

While SNUS makes me more alert, gives me a sense of stimulation and of course the wonderful variety of aromas and snus choices can't be compared to the sickening taste of cigarettes.

For depression you might want to see a psychiatrist, I probably tried most anti-depressants (Paxil and Zoloft are the ones that most people prefer, of course it really depends on your brain chemistry, you might not do well on one anti-depressant and have to go on several until you find the one that works for you.

Scientist say that coffee can actually help with depression, in my case it doesn't - it worsens my anxiety. So I might be just giving up on coffee again and switch to drinking tea.

IMO, you should give up smoking, it masks your depression, this is why depression pops-up when you quit smoking.

In fact many people that don't have depression, fall into depression for a while after they quit smoking.

              IMO, go with SNUS

are you sure its not Lyme disease?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

so you are still dealing with the Lymes? bummer, can't you get help?

btw parrots disease is called the Bird Flu in this country. And it has nothing to do with domestic pet birds, tho a lot of people think it does.

Seeing an LLMD and I am being treated, but Lyme's so complex ... many just get into remission and then boom it rears it head again...

the down-side is long-term antibiotics which I don't really agree with so I'll go with herbals for a longer period of tiime, hoping to get better.

Not advertising anything but if you got the time to watch a legit documentary about Lyme you can understand what this wicked disease is all about http://www.alldocumentaries.org/under-our-skin/ ....

snus did not help me cope with depression while I was smoking. Snus is not a decision to deal with depression or sadness, you should only think about what you are taking. Snus itself is small, but harmful, and if you throw a lot, you can get various injuries. You do not want to suffer psychological trauma from this substance and its use in large quantities. Consider changing your pain reliever and visiting your family doctor. I can also recommend one method that will help get rid of depression and pain. It helped me personally in due time, I hope it will help you too.
