    Bleeding gums...

It's my 4 month anniversary for snus. I average 6 portions a day. I use general white, and Odens Cold White Dry (it's a mint snus)

My teeth and gums look fine, but something concerns me. At the base of my teeth, RIGHT where the gums meet I'm having some changes. Over my two front teeth there are Very tiny red spots that have appeared. They are as small as the tip of a sewing needle, but definitely there. They get worse after I brush and if I apply pressure to my gum using my finger the spots get bigger. It's definitely blood.

I had a dental check 3 months ago, all is fine, but I also just started snusing. Has anyone else experianced this? I use a soft toothbrush, floss, don't brush hard, and use listerine every night. I brush twice a day. My dental habits are solid, but after brushing the spots appear and stay on my teeth through the day. Any ideas what's going on?

My theories are. Maybe this has always happened but never noticed it because I didn't check my teeth and gums.

It's simple toothbrush damage and nothing more.

Or snus is definitely weakening and softening my gums causing them to bleed even with the slightest brushing

    OR I'm being a hypocondriac

I wonder how you can see something so tiny and why you are looking that closely....do a search of "gums" and you will see that long term users don't have gum problems. For me, mint snuses are irritating.

The white/mint portion snus combo has given me a red bump or two on my gums....should go away after a day or two. Maybe try original portions for a week...my gums really don't like white portions.

Well the dentist didnt say anything in my last check up. Aside from a few cavities under some existing fillings and TMJ....nothing really out of the ordinary. No oral cancer either. She even grabbed that weird blue light and inspected my mouth all over....
