    Snus and nausea

Hi , the problem that im having is next :
I did snus for about a month (newbie), thunder and so on ..
One day i tryed a bit stronger snus and after holding it under for about a few min i started to feel sick .
I had really strong nausea at that point .Like 10 min went pass after i had taken it off and i started to feel better.
Next day i woke up and went to school , everything was fine , but suddenly i started to feel sick /nausea as the way i felt day before when i tryed the stronger snus. Now every day for a past 5-6 months i have been feeling nausea every day , it's the worst feeling .
Have anybody had the same problem or do anybody know what would be the cure ? i would be really thankful .

    Sorry about bad english.

If you've been sick every day for six months after trying one portion of snus, see a doctor. It ain't the snus.

I did feel slightly nauseated when I did doubles while trying to get past the cigarettes, but the feeling went away after taking the snus out....must be something else.....good luck.

ty , but the thing is that i have never had problem with nausea , i had it maybe 1-2 times a year , i didnt had nausea when i was driving by bus , and even hardly if i was sick (at that point when it all started i wasnt ill for about a year / year and a half , so i can say that i dont get "ill" this easely and this suddenly ) and now suddenly after that snus im having it every day for a past 5-6 months. Its really hard to drive by bus , i need to drive twice a week about 200 km each time.

Is nausea the only thing happening? Not feeling warm, rapid heartbeat or anything else?

Hmmm well from my experience if you drink booze cut that out. Booze can do nasty stuff to your guts. You might have some anxiety issue, I've dealt with that in the past. Or maybe you have something up with your stomach, ulcer or GERD.

                  have you stopped using snus?

Well it's not the snus we can all agree on that

I agree that it wouldn't be that one snus from months ago, as the extra nicotine which probably caused your nausea would have been completely out of your body not long after you took the snus out.

From what I've read, every two hours the amount of nicotine remaining in the bloodstream declines by half (known as nicotine's elimination half-life), so it would have probably have been gone within a day.

I've had Migraine Associated Vertigo for close to 20 years, which means lots of nausea. I've had very good results with ginger -- whether nibbling on fresh ginger, using ginger capsules, eating candied ginger, and even eating Ginger Altoids. There's solid scientific evidence that it works for nausea, so you might try it in any of the above forms to see what works for you. For me, it takes quite a bit of ginger, but it's well worth it.

For the bus, you might try a drug called Meclizine (25 mg) -- you can get it in drug stores under the name Bonine, among others (it's used for motion sickness). Dramamine has two formulas, one of which is Meclizine. Meclizine is quite safe and well tolerated.

Keep in mind that Meclizine *might* cause some drowsiness in some people.

                        Best of luck.
