Just HALF a joint of cannabis 'causes psychosis

Smoking cannabis can induce psychosis-like effects, similar to the symptoms people diagnosed with schizophrenia endure, scientists have said.
While past research as come this this conclusion in the past, the mechanisms underlying these effects are less clear.
Now, a team of scientists at Yale School of Medicine have found the active ingredient in marijuana, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-THC) increases random neural activity, known as neural noise, in the brains of healthy drug-users.

I fully agree with Mr. Taffy.
In my experience, getting stoned is more or less the same for everyone, but the experience comes down to how much of a paranoid control-freak the stonee is.
Some people can't get past the "altered perception" and start freaking out about what's happening to them, and how they're losing control, and how they're never, EVER going to feel normal again and throw themselves into a spiral of fear and stress they can't get out of. The combination of THC, an adrenaline spike and a tachichardic heart rate sure makes for a really unpleasant, psychotic experience. But it sure as hell ain't the drugs causing it, it's the fear of the user.
That's why it tends to happen to the kind of folk who get bent out of shape at the slightest unexpected circumstances.

Well I can't just say "Yale" is full of shit,
so maybe it would be better stated:
If the testing question are geared properly then ANY test can produce the answers needed to achieve further funding & the results you truly want.

I think you're right tattooer601 ... but I have to say that my totally non-scientific real-life experience seems to show me that the people I know who use cannabis on a very regular basis are the same people who end up with fairly serious delusional and paranoid behaviour. Not 100% of the time but I think if you use any psychoactive substance on a daily basis then it will change how you think about things ... and not always for the better.

I agree being stoned 24/7 has to cause some issues when reality bites, it'll be like coming out of the matrix or finding out your really a robot clone with someone else's memmories.

Me I used to partake to chill out on the weekend, never any of this mad skunk that around today, the worst it did was made me giggle like a tit, eat pizza & chip sandwiches & become a beast at Mario Kart BTW rainbow road is crazy trippy.
