I have been snussing regularly for about a year and a half now. Coming off of heavy domestic chewing tobacco use i.e a tin a day of cope, grizzly, Kodak etc...
I enjoy Suns a heck of a lot more and with all the research I've done it seems a lot safer than any type of tobacco out there.
My usual routine is about 8-15 portions of general mint per day, depending on how I feel.
Last year at a dentist appointment he pointed out some white spots in my upper cheek where it meets the very top of my mouth. I tried to just sort of just brush it off but it lingers on my mind a lot. I'm quite a hypochondriac really.... With bad anxiety to boot.
Anyway. When I usually look at my gums I don't notice anything unusual but I took a flashlight and peeled my cheek forward to inspect the upper inside part of my mouth and I noticed some white spots still there. It just doesn't look normal. Almost like a white burn. Like a white patch made up of smaller white circular patches. It freaks me out to be honest.
There was a time in my snuff days where I would occasionally put long cut and snuff pouches in my upper lip but that was a couple years ago.
Does anyone have any input on this? Is it normal? Is it permanent? Is it definitely from the heavy Snus use??
Most importantly should I be worried of this?
Because I already am....
Thanks in advance for any help.
